I was sitting in the passenger seat looking at the big black dash. I was thinking of something a bit more exciting that would also express what I like.

I came up with an idea of creating a dash insert on photoshop. Since I'm a big music buff and enjoy listening to music during cruises, I thought I would add some of my favourite artists.

Here is a mock up of what I am thinking (excuse the tape).




What do you think?

I was thinking once I finalize the insert, I would have it vinyl wrapped onto a piece of stainless steel and use industrial velcro to attach to the dash.

Thoughts?

Also, can anyone list the 28 artists and the comic characters?

 

I like the idea. I would recommend converting it to all black and white and then photoshopping a unified color theme. Or just doing a few accent points of color. Maybe even making it into a Mural instead of individual square pictures.
The only ones i'm sure of are Blues Brothers and U2

 

I'm not a big fan of the idea but do you have any extra "Meatloaf" that I can have? Sorry about my speech impediment but have you seen my brother Duran Duran? I also see some Aerosmith in there.

 

i think it is a great idea! That area has always been like an empty billboard to me also.

 

not a fan of it one bit. But I do like the input of maybe makign it black and white that will look better IMO

Just trying to be creative and think of something else besides a big black spot.

I found a file to add a "Z28" logo to the pic. I'll insert it into the same spot as the emblem on the dash.

 

I just swapped out the Wham for Bob Marley.

 

I'm suprized there's nothing like Ice Cube or RUN DMC.
