Update:: Since i got the bird painted i had more and more people asking about it then dissing it. I still get the few **** bitches that'll talk it down but i'm now getting thumbs up from old guys and kids alot more. There are very few thirdgen birds here in aurora co. a few more camaaros but i have never seen a nicer bird than mine. I see an old lady driving a gorgeous gta red and silver once in awhile but thats it. Theres a brown one 6 banger with exhaust coming out through the quater panels i'll grab a pic sometime. Most are hispanic owned and in real bad shape. Not dissing hispanics but they just cant seem to take care of their cars here in colorado. But guess what they still see these even with the **** talkin. THey just look better now

I don't think you can help people calling our cars *******. i have a low mileage 1991 camaro that is very clean and tastefuly moded. I won an auto competition for my school. This was the first competition win in the schools history. So i thought i established myself as a smart guy with my 3.7 GPA and auto skills, but i still have to deal with the *******/whitetrash comments on a regular basis. It happens. Just make your car how you want it and drive it. Rock on.

 

i used to get a lot of stereotype at school, even tho i have the 3rd nicest iroc in town. what worked for me was giving all the other kids respect for what they drive even if its a import or what have u. now that we all can get along they compliment my car and ive yet to get stereotyped any more. not everything they drive is my cup of tea but they do have nice cars and put just as much effort into them as i do because they like em.

I don't even give labels anymores. If I see a car with a primered door and fender with 15" rims sticking out. I see a car I don't particular like that has 15" rims sticking out with primered panels.


My car is goign to need some body work and primer is going to be one of my colors added to my car, and I don't give a damn what people think. Primer is a lot better than rust any day. If others have a problem with my car not being painted then I suggest they cough up some money to get my car painted - that shuts them up.

Even though your Iroc is really nice looking, Irocs are always labeled ******* mobiles because for the people that don't know much about them usually see the shabby looking ones (like mine) and assume all of them are like that.

Too many highschool kids trashed them up and gave them bad reputations. I'm sure most of us here who had thirdgens while in high school tried to keep them up to the best of our abilities. I know I'm trying.



I know my car doesn't look great now. Its not like I don't care how it looks, I just can't afford to spend as much time or money on it right now because of college with 10% increases every year.
I'm trying to do the best I can with it, but I just don't have the neccesarry resources now.

You said it, man. I live in Pensacola, Florida... right on the Alabama/Florida border, and the two cars I see the most are Civics and Mustangs. Civics are understandable... if not for the **** boys at school, then for the older drivers who just need the better gas milage.

Mustangs, however, are insanely overdriven here. I can't go down the road when going to work without seeing AT LEAST six or seven Mustangs on the way. It really makes me sick.

I'm not saying that they are bad cars or anything (despite the fact that so many others would say that) but you'd think Mustangs were the only frickin' sports cars to choose from down here.

 

Mustangs are A sexual, I chit you not my friends.... they reproduce faster then any othercar other then honda accords and civics...

It required racing seats. Addition of dice which gained a total of 40 hp. Removal of every piece of the interior, rear hatch removal and the addition of a confederate flag license plate converted into a wind flap to help airflow.

Apparently these are "*******" modifications.

Too bad my disk died...I had some shots of me in the 82 on a milk crate with no interior, no fenders, bumpers, or doors...being pulled by a fork lift... Darn Zip disk...back up died the same day....iomega wants $250.00 a disk to recover the data! What a rip...anyone in data recovery! HEHEHE!

we have an 89 firebird, its been my parents beater sort of for a while. my dad stripped it and primed it about 3 years ago, and its stayed primed ever since. my car never got done in time when i got my license, so i have been driving it since i got my license. havent been called ******* once, although its known as the famous primer firebird by friends and kids around school. hahahahhaa.

the worst its got is called firechicken, since both exhaust manifolds leak a little, so its pretty loud, and screams V6.

I had it towed to the muffler shop to have the y-pipe built and the exhuast welded on.

Also, I didn't remove the black paint, those pics were before I painted the rest of the car. Top pic was taken late last year and the bottom pic was taken in January 31st 2001.

 

Never gotten the ******* comment, but then again I drive GTAs. However, I find it odd that all the "rednecks" on this site are computer literate enough to use the internet and this messageboard. I always thought "*******" referred to somebody that was vastly uneducated and only fixed his cars by doing half the job required or using hay bailing wire. (Yes I've seen this done.)
