Back in the September of 2010, I was emailed wanting my car in the new music video for an upcoming band local here in Vancouver, BC. The video would be broadcast on MusicMusic once done.

Fast forward to today and now The video is now on muchmusic - Look for "Brand New Car" by Jackie Valentine.

The shoot was from 12pm - 9pm. I had to work at 4:30 so I had to personally leave at 3:30. I was able to leave the car there and my girlfriend helped me out while I was at work!

The band is produced by "604 records" started by Nickelbacks Chad Kroeger. 604 records has recorded many well know names here in Canada and is now known in the USA such as :

Nickelback
Marianas Trench
Faber Drive
Tommy Lee
Theory Of A Deadman
Carly Rae Jepson
just to name a few :-)

The car is shown approx 7-8 times but all I can suggest is that when it comes on that you concentrate ON THE LEFT the entire video. The video is quite quick between takes and you will surely miss each time as the video doesn't really stay on a specific shot more than around 1-2 seconds (if that) LOL .

The shoot was done on a VERY rainy day in an open warehouse shed. They had to drop black canvas around the openings which were behind my car and I see in my pics that it's blowing open and showcasing light. I believe that is why the car was cut off from anything passed the very front. But I am surely honored and proud to say it's in a music video none-the-less and showing on MuchMusic of all things :-)

Comes as no surprise to me that they would want your car for a video. It looks like it's brand new! How did you get that mirror finish?

In the promo you can see it on the left peaking out. The full video is not yet out. Unfortunately for the full video, you can only see that on muchmusic until the video is released online.

The full video just stays loading forever. In the promo I saw it once though for about a second. Looks good! Can't wait to see the whole video.

VERY BIZARRE! All this time, I've had not one single problem on my end. Loads up immediately after the advertisement video.

 

Fine for me... I'd be so annoyed if those silly hippies started sitting on my car pretending they knew how to play guitar. I notice all of em just having a party all over all the other cars. Good thing yours didnt seem to be used a picnic table and stage.

i saw it on youtube, car looks nice and spooky sitting over there. must agree with the other guy though. im glad they didnt use your car to parade around on.

 

First I gotta say, Ive seen your car pics around the web and I absolutely love it! Its beautiful!!! Congrats! Also, congrats on getting it in the video. Only a few seconds here and there and not good shots either, but it gets you out there and thats something any of us wold be way proud of! I wish my car was in one!

Old post, yes.

The reason at the 3.29 mark that my lights were so dim (you'll noticed many cars are) is because they wanted to have the lights on shining thru the fog in the garage. They turned it on and took SO many retakes.. changing camera angles.. (headlights & foglights). 8 hours later when the car was to picked up, the lights were completely dim and had to be jump started; few cars had to be jump started.
