What your favorite sub-generation of the third gens? and why?

 

85-90 because earlier the rear is too boxy and I don't like the round nose on 91-92 trans ams

 

Make a poll for this, and 91-92 Camaro GFX, that's why I bought a whole set for my '83 camaro.

 

85-90. Duh. Why not!? haha. I do like the 91-92. Dont like earlier than 85's. (sorry)

 

i actually like 82-84 style, i love the taillights on those years it's a classic look

 

82-84 is my favorite, but for no other reason than the first thirdgen I remember was my dads 82 Firebird, plus I grew up watching Knightrider. I have a set of bumpers off my old 83 Trans Am that will be going on my 91'; I do like the Banshee nose, but mine had an 88' nose when I got it anyway.

 

85-88 iroc!!

 

I love the 91-92 Camaro style. I was dead set on getting myself a 91 RS, but I found my 86 Z28 on craigslist for $800, running ok and everything. Maybe one day....

 

91-92 Camaro style all the way....All the best features of all the previous years all came together those years IMO...

 

I prefer the 82-84 thirdgens myself.
Doesn't mean I dislike my 1989 RS however.

I think the somewhat more angled early Camaro nosecone and the two bar rear lights make it look closer related to the musclecar era then to the 90´s. I also must say that I do like the look of the SC´s better then the Z28´s, but wouldn´t mind owning either of the two.

Once I have my 305 TBi engine the way I like it, I might actually look for an early third gen Camaro one day.

 

the 1982-1984 i love the design and it was on Knight Rider

 

82-87 sportcoupe is my favorite, even though the 82-84's were different from the 85-87, i like them all equally.

These are the 3rd gens that had it all together when it came to styling.

 

camaro=91-92 because of the better ground effects, i also like 85-90, but 82-84 is ugly IMO

firebird/trans am=85-90 because well i just like them better then the 91-92, and 82-84 is ugly IMO

I'm a big sportcoupe fan, but it really depends on the rest of the car's theme...

 

I prefer the looks of the 82-84 but the 85-90 ground effects are better. 91-92 front bumper is oddly styled. Minor changes and it would have been ok. hate the rear ground effects. OOPS I bought a 91 but am changing it to a 85-90 style w/ 82-4 T/A tails. Most all parts were part of the sale. Found T/A fenders in Dallas for $10 each.

 

82-84 Firebird. That's why I put those Bumper Covers on my 90 Formula

 

Camaro: '91-'92
Firebird: "85-'90 Gotta have the 4-vent hood and fender vents!

 

82-84 for the 'Birds because I like the leaner, non-ground effect body with the spoilers before the wheel wells and 91-92 Camaros with the "pocketed" ground effects.

 

82-84 style of course! It's the original look GM intended. All the years after had to be changed in order for the cars to be "new" models for sales.

Oddly enough, I also like '67-68's and 70-71's....don't care a whole lot about any of the 4th gens except maybe the T/A's.....

 

damn... why didn't I think of that? I see 91-92 firebirds all the time, and I don't even consider buying them because of the nose

85-90 camaro and firebird for me.

 

The 82-84 style as started to grow on me, but 85-90 has always been my favorite. But I do like the ground effects on the 91-92 cars.

 

i like the overall looks of the 85 and up camaros.

 

91-92 GTA's are sweet

 

91-92 camaros for me. they came with all the best options. plus having the 92 just makes u feel good knowing its the last of its kind.

 

 

Nothing good will come out of this... all you'll get is people feeling insulted because someone does not like the year of car.
