Traffic has been mean to me. On my way to work I hit a partial cloverleaf making nice 270* slightly banked on-ramp. I know it well so tend to push it at times. However the traffic and weather lately has put a damper on pushing any limits. Tis very sad. A good on-ramp or off-ramp blast always puts a smile on my face and the Focus is eager to please on those.

The TransAm is a super blast on the same on-ramp though, specially with Nitto NT05 17x9 rubber. Many times I've not pushed it for fear of starving the engine of oil.

I wish my mom had not sold her '69 Chevelle way back when. It was just the base model with the 307, but it was still a damn cool car.

Bumping this up because I just got a brand new daily driver. I traded in my 2007 Cobalt SS today on a 2013 Sierra SLE with the chrome package, 5.3 / 6spd auto, bluetooth, onstar, homelink, manual shift mode, tow package, all the goodies except for 4WD.

ill have to get some of my new Z28 soon, the yukon is done for daily driver purposes meaning engine is steady now but solid axle, body work, paint, etc will come soon.

 

I think Mustangs compliment my third gen......in my rear view mirror....

Yeah Cognito lift kits. Very high quality lift kit for GM trucks only. Mine rode like a freaking Cadillac at 9" of lift. Most of the lifted GM guys not from California drool over the Cognito stuff. Might wanna check out GMfullsize.com

Thanks I LOVED that truck, it was MEAN. Sold it two years ago and think about it everyday. Its pretty tough trying to have multiple vehicles in different genres of custom, and then support a family too... at least when your not rich. Focusing on Camaros again

Thanks, 85. It's the first car I've ever purchased without making concessions/compromises of some sort. I love the two-seater feeling. My wife won't drive the IROC, but she has more seat time in the 370 than I do .

My wife's '11 red Wrangler (soft-top,stick) is the exact same color as my '87 Camaro.

fsc is sorta overrun now. say one wrong thing and everyone gangs up on you in hate mail etc etc. i know alot of people who cannot stand fsc.

I don't know how much horsepower she's pushing but she accelerates quicker than the Iron Duke camaro I had back in the early 90s. I never wanted another Cheverolet after owning that car. I have no memories of that thing, can't even remember the year. Oh wait a minute I remember something it was white and the slowest car I've ever been in.

the trucks themselves are overall very nice. the interior doesnt do a thing for me though.

 

The 80's wasn't the best time for performance, but an American Inline 4 in the 80's sounds like a total disaster. They got rid of that engine real fast.

 

Different strokes for different folks. I LOVE the interior. It's 10x nicer than my 2000 Silverado that I had before the Cobalt.

 

How was your Cobalt SS? I always loved the way those cars looked but was disappointed that GM chose a 4 banger for the engine. They didn't even give the SS a V6 option.

 

The LNF Turbocharged Ecotec 4banger was superior to any GM V6 engine at the time.

 

It was a really fun little car. Plenty quick enough for a daily driver, I just missed the utility of a truck and so I got rid of it. It handled extremely well too.

 

I came very close to buying a 2013 GMC almost identical to yours. It is a nice truck. Instead, I went with a 2013 Ram. The interior was one of many deciding factors.
This is same color scheme and all as my truck, except I opted not to have the Ram box.

has a 350 t5 combo was gonna pick up a built 5.3 but passed on it. have a BOP 400 trans for it, doing custom perforated interior with chrome trim guages or aftermarket autogages because they are cheap. put the old rear louvers on, looking for some XXRs and just bought a panhard, vogtlands, electric fans, 4th gen fluid reservoirs, battery relocation and lots of other goodies. ill be shaving the wiper cowl in favor of some gmt800 truck nozzles on the wipers, dual comp temop mirror and lots more.

 

Yea lets bump it up. I added anothet GM LSx based vehicle to our garage. Traded in our '06 Grand Prix and got an '09 G8 GT. So now we have the white Sierra posted above, the Camaro, and the G8.

 

Well, I needed something reliable, so anything domestic was out. We have a genesis, an equus, and an ls430. They all compliment the Camaro just fine.

 

I really like the Equus, really nice cars.

Yea quite a few people on G8boards.com have done the manual trans swap. This one is my wife's and she isn't comfortable driving a stick, although she drove my Cobalt SS a few times. So we won't be changing it. It sits at 32,000 miles right now.
