Custom firebird in germany (export model)
im stationed in germany so i've been looking for american cars for sale out here to save on shipping, found this online "trader" type of site, which sucks cause all american cars sold by germans are wayyyyy overpriced.
anyways found this Firebird with a custom front bumper I've never seen before, thought you guys might be interested in it
This ones in Austria
http://us.automobile.de/cgi/deeplink...GION=&umkreis=
CLick on the link and its the Firebird at the bottom, and yes these fools want almost 8,000 euro for it.....crazy

Re: Custom firebird in germany (export model)
Are you specifically looking for a bird or would you take alternatives as well?
Prices for well kept cars are high over here.
Sometimes it´s really cheaper to import something from the US, rather then buying here, but occasionally you will find a fair deal over here as well.
I would steer clear of anything under EUR 5000.
If I would be looking I would however start here:
http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.as...gews2&sbs=Home
http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=l4ev4v2xmteg
http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/sh...e&pageNumber=3
http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/sh...e&pageNumber=4
Unfortunately I know none of the above cars personally.
If you´re seriously interested in a 2nd, 3rd or 4th gen F-body I could ask around however to see if there are vehicles for sale that I do know

Looks like an 80-82 corvette bumper indeed. There was a german fiberglass company, vondraceck or something like that who sold all kinds of tacky german spoilers, bumpers, flares and what not. Probably one of their pieces.
Overpriced? 8K isn't half bad, it may come as a shocker but those cars are worth more here than over on the other side of the pond.

Re: Custom firebird in germany (export model)
They went out of business a while back. Heard they had bad quality, shitty service and so on. I contacted them a while back with a custom idea I had, but thankfully dropped the project.
And yes, f-bodies are expencive here. I paid 20k for mine last october. It would probably cost 4-5 in the states. It's a total fix-er-up-er, and i've allready spent almost 10k on the car, and it's still not on the road!
Thank god we have well-paid jobs over here or else I could never afford an american car :P

20K you have been had, I have bought quite a few of them and driver quality can easily be found under 6K in mainland europe or the UK
