Blisters on a RS hood.

This may sound stupid so hear me out lol I have done a search and nothing came up lol i wonder why

I was wanting to know if anyone has ever fabed up blisters to work on an RS hood? I know hawks sells aftermarket, but can't i just chim an outline out of the blisters to set the blisters in place and custom mount, then the insulation will cover up the whats cut?

I think i can make an outline of the blister on my hood there is an inch of room where the blister actually sits on the hood so it will overlap after i make the cut? It's the same exact design except the dip in the hood. I already know BUY THE Z28 HOOD!!!!!!.

Re: Blisters on a RS hood.

I'm pretty sure that the blisters set into a slight blister-shaped recess in the hood, just like the louvers did. I've read several times here that folks have swapped their louvers for blisters and visa versa - so I'm pretty sure you'd have to have the actual hood with the recesses for it to work, otherwise they'd stick up out of place on a flat hood.

Well, why not just go with heritage stripe?

Louvers did come on 89 camaros. The blisters I believe came on 91-92. The louvers would look better for the year, and better all around in my opinion. I like the heritage stripping, and louvers and blisters compromise the stripe appearance.
