i have an auto shifter in my camaro, and hte **** is the little black on with a button right on the top, you guys know wich one, anyways, i went to Don's Hot Rod the other day and i wanted ot get a T-handle shifter ****, well when i went inside i asked the guy there and he told me that i can't switch to any T-handles and i'm stuck with mine! wtf is this, is this true, can we not switch it, im highly sceptical he was telling the truth, if anyone has changed thiers please show me, and tell me wich t handle you used to dothe switch or any **** better than what i have would be great , pics!

would a T handle from a fire bird or trans am wok?

i went with a black leather wrapped hurst shift **** for my 5 spd firebird. The same one in hte hurst shifter equpipped ram air trans ams, its a direct bolt on, no rethreading or cutting needed. Go to your local dealer and get one, if u dont want the hurst one than go through slp, they have one thats black leather wrapped and the identical design as the hurst **** only with slp's logo

I have a T-shifter grip..
Its a hurst, T-shifter...
its like a brushed aluminum look with HURST stamped in the top in black
its quite nice looking and really comfortable

I got an eight ball shift **** down at Auto Zone... It's a little bigger than the stock **** for my car, but it looks slick and it was easy to install. They told me it wouldn't fit, but it had nylon threads of a slightly smaller size, so I just leaned on it hard and turned it to cut my own threads. A little dab of epoxy stops it from spinning off and it's still removable.

If you want to go the 8-ball route, I've got another idea. Make your own. When I was in high school, I paid $5 for an 8-ball from a sporting goods store, drilled it & tapped it, spun it on and have been enjoying it since. It's very comfortable, and doesn't get hot/cold like my aluminum ****. I really like it.

Could u guys please help me out, this guy is selling me his FIREBIRD shift **** and he says its a stock Pontiac Firebird plastic shift ****, how exactly does it look???? any of u's have pics of it, oh yeah its for a manual tranny. he said that they are the same from 84-92 pontiacs with t-5 trannies
