opinions on my toy?

i think you're agree it's unique..

a few of the pics are out of date....i ditched the louvers for 91 z28 power blisters in black with silver metallic, and the vette light transplant is pretty recent.

D@mn schweet ride dude. Where do you get those kinds of louvers or 'power blisters' or whatever they are called anyway??? My louvers are in need of being painted over to cover up the 14 years of abuse.

HG,
Those are the "power blisters"... They replaced the louvers on the Z28's in 91-92.

Wraith,
It is definitly unique. The vette rear lights are something that I would have to see in person to give a real opinion about, but they actually look pretty good in the pic. Nice car!
The engine pic is definitly the icing on the cake.... gotta love a s/c

Is there anyplace I can buy them online? Would they fit an '87 Z28? There is this Camaro/Firebird place I might be able to get them if they will fit my car.

So there IS an S/C setup for the non-single-belt engines...? I've never seen that in any catalogs??

those corvette lights, i think they would only look good if they were blended as part of the car, not looking like a panel just slapped on there. also, it should be painted with the car so the paint matches. there's camaro a few streets down from me that has those lights. it has the daytona hood, it has a 91-92z high rise spoiler notched to fit on top of the stock 3 piece spoiler, and a trashy, never washed looking paint job

i'll address the questions:

the power blisters are from the 91/92 z28 you can get them used all over, and they bolt right into any 85-90 iroc/z28 louvered hood.

ChevyKen: Paxton SN Series. They don't make it new anymore, but there's a lot of used ones out there. In fact, I think there's one in the classifieds here for $1200.

The paint on the panel doesn't match. The car was painted by Maaco (yuck!) about a year and a half ago, and it was supposed to be a repaint of the original color. The color they mixed was way off, and while it is a nice color, i can't find touch up paint to match it at all! The whole car will be repainted within a year's time, after i finish with the drivetrain.

oh and the pedal covers were on a thirdgen in a junkyard. I think they are the same ones you can get at any chain auto parts store. I put the brake pedal cover on right away because my rubber pad was done for, but the gas pedal cover didn't have all the hardware i needed on it, so it has yet to go on.
