I thought this was worth sharing, I bought a 86 T/A for parts for $700 the owner sead the motor was rebuilt 18 months ago,I wanted the tpi. wiring harness, disk rear with a posi.
the car would barly run, and the seller used 2 quarts of oil a day, sead it was a rear seal.
turns out the oil leak was the oil filter seal(jiffy lube), and it wouldn't run becase the wires for the tpi sensers were screwed up.
the most money I spent was the $100 to steamclean the underside. I guess I won't be parting it...LOL

I wish my oil consumption was due to a filter leak...

my car doesnt burn a drop of oil. Its nearing 109k miles without a rebuild. Gotta love TBI.

The 86 is no longer going through oil. Amazing what the right oil filter will do.
