Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics
Vortex: Thank you for the very detailed explanation, I got it now! I'm most likely gonna go with some moogs and some kyb shocks for the front and rear when I get the funds (after I get my new wheels mounted). Then I'll just chop the springs maybe a full coil, which probably still wouldn't be welcome in this thread LOL.
Mikey: You were right in thinking what I was thinking about bouncy rides. I did mean like..blown shock bouncy haha. Not suspension so stiff that car literally comes off the ground after a small pothole hahaha (over exaggeration).
You guys are probably the wrong people to ask about it, but when I get my 17x9.5/17x11's do you think it'll look funky sitting on stock height? I heard the actual wheel/tire combo itself is acutally 1/4" shorter than the stock wheel/tires combo.

Guess I'll just have to refrain from hitting any jumps

I was in a foreign town about a year back and found out the hard way how it feels to JUMP my camaro.. Did it while showing up a mustang. After that, NEVER AGAIN will I floor it where I'm unsure if it's safe or not LOL.

what's the point in this "slammed?" I can see lowering it an inch or 2 to get the gaps closer and maybe handle a bit better, but anything more just looks OFF. plus you won't be able to go over anything more than a deck of cards without creeping up on it. then it's even MORE of a pain to work on underneath than it already is.

Makes it look like a racecar. Looks great. Not so practical though so I'd never do it. But to those hwo have, your patience far exceeds mine.

Its ground control weight jacks bottomed out. The fronts are sitting on my strut mounted bump stops and the rears are sitting on the factory rear bump stops. Totally undriveable at this height. I only did this because I was curious to see how low it would go. The factory air dam is about 1" off the ground.

^ that's about how low may car is, air dam 1" off the ground. It scrapes on roads that have too much crown in them LOL. I love it, but it is a weekend driver ONLY, no way to DD at my height

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics
For looks, I wouldn't mind if mine was a bit lower in the front...But if it was any lower, I wouldn't trust driving it around (I actually had it lower, but raised it a little...the beauty of coilovers). The k-member is only a few inches off the ground. The rear can't be lowered anymore and still function (with my wheel and tire combo anyway).
Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics
I can't say it is SLAMMED,cuz seriously,I drive the car alot in Montreal, and our roads suck, but the Eibachs ride awesome and can avoid damage to front spoiler easily. And hey, gotta represent 3rd gens too, check out Sept 2011 Snap On calendar...first 3rd gen to get in it....our gens rules!!

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics
A lot of these...okay most of these aren't very 'slammed'. Hell, mine is dropped almost three inches and I wouldn't consider it slammed.
What wheels are those?
Edit; Found your build thread. Forgestar F14

Here's mine. Fender height is 25" front and 26" rear. Lowered on Ground Control weight jacks (800/200) and KYB adjustable shocks and struts.

I will be going lower, but I gotta get some more parts first
