Throttle Body boot
I would like to replace the black boot that goes fromt he intake to the throttle body (TPI) with aluminum.
But I am being told that the torque will crack the plastic intake.
has anyone done this, and can that happen

Re: Throttle Body boot
As long as your motor mounts aren't shot (ragged out rubber stock) and you use flexible couplers, there shouldn't be any real issue.

Re: Throttle Body boot
agreed - there's gotta be some flex somewhere since the motor and car do not shake/vibrate the same. rubber or silicone couplers should be enough to do the job though
