HID's

I want some HID's but don't have a ton of money to spend on them. Ebay has some for $30-$90 but I heard they were absolute junk. All of the other ones I've seen were in the $270 range. Is there any good lights priced in between these?

I will let you know. I just bought the Silvania Silver Stars from Amazon. I bought both the lows (55W) & highs (50W). I thought about the Ebay ones, but based on your comments I'm glad I did NOT get them.

I will install the lights this weekend & report back. I'm in the process of restoring my car & took it for a drive last weekend at night. Bad decision, after sitting for 6 + years, the current lights are trash + they are pointed at the floor...LOL

Re: HID's

Silverstars are awesome for the price & that they are direct plug-n-play. Could even be done in the parking lot at the store, if needed. Unlike true HIDs which would require a lot more more $, a lot more time & extra wiring & parts.

Get them & for the price, you certainly won't be disappointed.

I've tried headlamps like those & they are junk. DDM makes a good HID Ballast system, but get some housings with true projectors in them & you'll be much happier, because they will actually work.

Re: HID's

Save your money for HID'S unless you have a bulb out. they are well worth it. I gone with hids in my camaro hi/low, r6( before it got totaled) 04 suburban ( highs, lows, fogs) 97 prelude

all are 5,000k 55w from ddm. they are cheap and goood. find some housing for the camaro and you will be much happier. Also Hids are safer too

Re: HID's

Hello to all, just to give an update. Above I stated I bought all 4 Silvania Silver Stars. Wow that about sums it up! I will post pics tomorrow or Sunday.

I am NOT stating these are as good as HID's, but they are a vast improvement from the stocks. The light output is perfect. I truly think these are some of the BEST lights for the price!!!!
