Should I replace the IROC-Z Door Stickers or not?
Im in a dilemma. When I bought my car, the previous owner told me that he took the IROC-Z stickers off of the door because they were chipping and looking bad.
In the spring I was going to order some replacements from Phoenix Graphics, but Im debating weather to leave them off to have that clean look? I can see the ghost of where the stickers originally were on the car, so they would be in the correct spot if I did decide to put them on. Heres my car. What do you think?

People like Iroc's more than z28's. I like Z's better myself but i myself am going to replace mine.

Re: Should I replace the IROC-Z Door Stickers or not?
honestly i never liked the sticker on the door and loved that my main iroc doesnt,,,BUT the longer iv been into 3rdgens now (6years), the more i like seeing that decal. one of my irocs has it, and i think thats what helps give it more attitude. so yeah, i do like the clean look without, but not on ALL of my cars. and i noticed yours still has the border stripe all around the car, and that goes hand in hand with the iroc decal. if you want it "clean" take ALL decals off, or have ALL of them on. i just dont dig half and half you know. but hey thats just my opinion lol

You should really remove that black door moulding completely or change it a white color. I would also remove that black stripe at the bottom of the car. After you do all that, then you should throw on some silver or very light IROC-Z stickers. Right now, your car looks too 'busy' with the black stripes running everywhere.

Wasn't kidding...The black door moulding completely takes away from the car. I also really like white IROC's. I just believe my suggestions would make his car look even 'nicer'.

The black molding was on the car from the factory. I can't help it. I didn't add anything to make it look busy. I appreciate your input though.

Re: Should I replace the IROC-Z Door Stickers or not?
Normally, I would say 100% put the stickers back on. However, with that black molding, I think your car may look better without the stickers. The sticker will make the car look busier unless you switched to white molding. However, I wouldn't do that. I really kind of like how that black molding looks combined with the parallel striping beneath it. I think it looks pretty sharp just as it is.

Just from a lazy point of view (if that makes sense?), the decal is off already so leave it that way! But as someone pointed out, remove the stripes around the whole car as well. Either way its an IROC with or without it.

I love the way the iroc stickers that went on the back of the door looked, not so much the earlier front of the door ones. People will respond better to it however if it says IROC Z Lol. Everybody loves irocs

Re: Should I replace the IROC-Z Door Stickers or not?
If they came on the car, I'd replace them. With that said, I thought they looked alittle tacky back in the day. That's why I ordered my black '89 IROC-Z with the DX3 decal delete. And with that said, I can see myself replacing the decals on my yellow '85 with new ones somewhere down the road.

I would put them back on. I don't hate 'em without, but I prefer them on. I also like the stock stripes that you have right about the gfx. ...I would however remove the black door molding, or buy the later "paintable" molding and paint it white. I really don't like the black molding.

IMHO, put the decals back on and take the door molding off or paint it white...

After the decals, get some new center caps for your wheels. I just got a set for my '85 off of ebay. It's all the little stuff that'll make your car pop.

Re: Should I replace the IROC-Z Door Stickers or not?
I say leave them off. After having my IROC re-painted I left the stripes and decal off. I just put back the emblems, and the 2 5.7 Tuned Port Injection decals under the Z28 emblem on the rockers. Everyone tells me the clean look is awesome. Check out my ride. It's "MAGICK 3"...

Re: Should I replace the IROC-Z Door Stickers or not?
its all what you wanna do, i say take the black stripe off and mput the decals on. the thing is once people start modding them it really doesnt matter wether it a z28/iroc/ or sport coupe. just like trucks once modded out theres really no difference between a z71 and a regular 4x4 because neither are stock any longer

Re: Should I replace the IROC-Z Door Stickers or not?
I also said put them on previously in this thread but wanted to add = If you want to stick to the black/white theme that's on there already I say go with the black "IROC-Z" decal they are selling on EBAY. (Not a stock color by the way)They offer the original style/print and one that is slightly off so be sure to pick the correct one. I think I payed about $20.00 for mine and the quality is excellent. They have been on for over 3 years now and look as good as the day I put them on. For $20.00, if you don't like them take them off. Here's a photo of a car almost like yours except for the molding is white so you will have to use your imagination.I beleave that is a silver decal.

Ok guys. Ive decided Im going to replace the IROC-Z stickers on the doors, leave the original black silver stripes as-is, and also leave the B84 door trim on as well.
I agree with most of you. Original is best.
