Your opinions on adding different ground effects?
Your opinions on adding different ground effects?
I have an 82 Z28 that I want to put 91-92 Z28 ground effects on
With the purists that are on this board I was wondering what you think about it?
Is it wrong to put different ground effects on a car?
Is it "rice"?
Anyone?
Thanks

If I didn't want to keep my new z's body completly stock, id switch over to the 91-92 gfx style.

I'd do it. I like the 91/92 ground effects a lot more. If I get my 89 IROC, I plan on eventually putting 91/92 ground effects on it. I think they look a lot better.

"Wrong"? No, wrong is wearing your underwear on the outside of your pants. Unless you're a rock star named David Lee Roth, you're going to be thought of as "wrong."
Of course, true "purists" aren't going to like the idea. Purists aren't paying your car bills. Purists aren't driving your car. They aren't being seen in your car. They don't swell with pride when your car is admired. They have a certain view point, that's all. If you like it, then just do it. I like those ground effects better than the earlier years, but that's just my opinion.
...and this whole post is just my two cents,
Steve

The reason why I posted this was to get an idea of what people generally thought, I think that that newer ground effects are miles ahead of the older ones, so why not do it?
That's my opinion, someone if bound to disagree

I think the 91/92 Z28 ground effects look awesome. I'd pick them over the older style ground effects. I think they look awesome.

Just kidding man.. lol, Id say go for whatcha like. I owned an 82 Z28 and I like the 82-84 GFX, but If I were to buy another camaro, I think It would be a 91-92.
I think if you do put the 91-92 GFX on it, you should also think about putting the hi-rise spoiler on it also.

I always liked the '91-'92 style gfx until I got my '91 RS. Now I think my '85 Z28 looked better. Oh well...
As far as the 'purists' are concerned, ****'EM!!! Do what you want. If you think your car will look better with different gfx, go for it!

I have the 91-92 lower rocker panels on my T/A. I am trying to find the door molding to match.
