Now this is just my opinion....
But whats wrong with the wheels you have, or getting a set of 4th Generation Camaro wheels or getting a nice set of IROC wheels or something from a newer 3rd Gen Camaro.
The reason being is aftermarket wheels look like crap on our Camaros, it's like copying a rice burner idea and it turns your car into what's called a GOOF CAR. Any Car buff's eye will go right to the wheels and not even see the rest of your car, because he knows those wheels are not original, and don't belong.
I think your money is better spent UNDER THE HOOD not outside of it. Next thing you know if you don't already, you will have 12" subs in your trunk and you can be a ***** burner boy.

I think the first ones would certianly be distinctive. Not my choice, but they'd stand out. if not those, then the second ones. The ROH's just aren't distinctive enough.
BTW, what size are you looking at? The first ones are definitely cool, but they'd look funny in a 17".
Alswede: What's wrong with wanting distinctive wheels? It's an easy way to make your car look different from everybody else's. Especially if, like me, you have those finned Pontiac 16's. I actually have truck rims (16X8) because I liked them and the truck rims were le$$ than the identical car rims.

well first i don't get camaro wheels because i drive a firebird
But for firebirds i like the 16" GTA wheels...however, i'd like to have something different than stock wheels.
i agree with you that a lot of aftermarket wheels don't look that great on a 3rd gen, but there are also quite a few that DO look good, i just haven't found them, hehe...
but every car has it's perfect wheel (perfect for a certain individual of course). For the camaro i think the perfect wheel is the 18" iroc wheels that Mr. Iroc has: http://www.iroczdesigns.com/
that car is by far my favorite camaro...
and well i'm still looking for my perfect firebird rims...
FYI i do plan on going with 17" wheels...
so come on guys lets post pics or links of our "perfect" wheels...

i think that comment was pure crap, if you put 4th gen wheel on a 3rd Gen, your idea of a "car buff" would see that as not being original.
I think 90% of the people on here will agree that there is an aftermarket wheel that does look better on their car, over the ones available from the factory.
Blaze of Glory, i would personally choose either of the centerlines out of those choices.

actually the roh's are about $200 for a 7 inch wide tire and $223 for a 9 inch wide one. I'm not sure about you guys but that's just too far out of my wallet. I'm thinking about "Black chroming" my z28 wheels or something similar.

jobryan, well which aftermarket wheels would you pay for???
and killer, post pics of your friends ride if you can, i've always wanted to see what a firebird looks like with iroc rims, and i'm not to fond of all the photoshop since half the time they look like crap. so some actual pictures would be cool...
the first rims weren't really an option, i think those rims look bad a$$ all by themselves but i'm not sure they would look good on a car...(like have you ever seen a pair of shoes you liked but as soon as you put them on they all the sudden didn't look so good?)
right now it's between the 2nd ($1200ish) and 3rd one ($1000ish),
i like the style of the ROH but but they aren't available in polished aluminum, and i don't like chrome... and well there is the shadow chrome option for the ROH but i haven't seen enough pictures for it to be an option...
but for some reason the 2nd ones seem to call out to me...
wouldn't it be nice to have a different set of wheels for each day of the week... sigh...

I think that "rice" when used in its proper form and at the right time can be a very descriptive word, so I think we should keep using it, but know what it means and when to say it before you go calling someone elses car "rice".
And back to the original question, I'd go with #3 because I have them
What color is your car Blaze... ? On certain cars, the silver painted RT's look awesome. On my car, which is yellow with black and gray stipes on the bottom, I think it looks good. Also on a silver or white car, I think it would look good also.

I first want to say that by adding after-market wheels to your car does not make it 'rice'. I'm so sick of seeing people saying that because you modify your car to your liking, its somehow an import wanna-be.
OK, now I think all those wheels look good. But I really like the ROH wheels. My second choice would be the first ones.

First off, HELLO!!! MetalliCamaroRS was JOKING... So chill out folks. And calling something 'Rice' when it really does deserve the title 'rice', is completely acceptable. People need to just quit getting all butt-hurt over other people's language... Jeez, people, it's not like when someone calls 'rice', they are saying that the people with the riced out cars need to be killed at all costs. It is that persons opinion!! If you are asking for or discussing some sort of a mod that looks ***** to some people, then brace yourself and don't act like the guy is flaming you. Quit taking things so damn personally!! And the bottom line is that a lot of body mods and rims look like complete a$$ to virtually everyone out there and if we want to call it 'rice', then we will call it rice. Deal with it.
As for the rims, I like the Centerline 907s out of those three.....

if you want nice ROH rims get the snypers. they are without a doubt the best. i am trying to decide what i want. the thing that sucks about aftermarket iroc rims is they only come in an 8" rim size. any car with ***** needs bigger...

The best seem to be the centerline 907's...
QwkTrp has those ROH wheels on his bird, I believe.... I love his car, and the wheels are ok, I just would have gotten different ones!
I, personally, am going to try to get the Torque Thrust II's if I can ever afford it...

Yes, "car buffs" will look straight to your wheels and know they don't belong. That is a GOOD THING! Stock wheels look good, but they are BORING unless they are polished or in an 18" version of the original. Modifications to our cars are what set them apart from the normal ones. Oh, and about the "12 inch subs" and "being a *****", I have subs in my car along with a pretty good stereo and I don't consider my car rice.
If you wanna call this "a ***** car" then I guess I'm one of the biggest ricers on this board.

definately go with the 1st or 2nd ones. i am getting the Galaxy's when i get the cash. i have seen them on a lowered truck before and they stood out. i havent ever seen them on a camaro though, but my guess is they would look bad a$$.

Well QwkTrip, i really do like the ROH's on your car..but i'm just not sure what i want...i love the look of polished aluminum, but i like the design of the ROH...
i could always get the ROH and have them polished...but that more money and effort than i'm willing to put in...

Four 16x8s w/ 4.5 back space. I got them for $170 each from Jegs. Tires are Kumho 712s, 245-45-16.
I'm thinking about getting a pair of 17x9.5s for the rears with 275-40-17 tires and leave the 16x8s on the frount.

Wow, 12" subs. guess i'm a ***** then.
in the hatch of my GTA I have 3 JL 10w3s.
but, if someone managed to get a trunk, let alone a trunk with 12"s in it into a 3rdgen, i don't think that would be rice.. it'd be one hell of a mod (excluding notchbacks/verts)....
so quick to call it rice, but so reluctant to race, what a sad world the thirdgen community has become.

Decently worked 87 GTA; finally got a good time out of her: 12.72 @ 116.4mph
other toys: 2002 Yamaha R6 , and a 97 Supra TT

I always like the ones for #1 but have never seen them on a car. None of the 3 would look bad, so not like your loosing no matter which you choose.
