Where does every body keep there cars for the winter?
I was just wondering where everybody keeps there cars during the bad months of the year? and also who drives theres in the winter? If anyone!!
I drive mine all winter long, unless there is a crazy amount of snow, But if you take it easy in the snow or ice even rain theres no problems, The only problem I have is that they use alot of salt on the roads to melt the ice and stuff, and thiat kills the car have to go out there in freezing cold weather with buckets of hot water and wash it. Allways get some strange looks when doing this.
88firebird: i feel you pain....i do the same thing up here in CT. but i keep mine on the roads all winter. haven't hit anything in the last two years....you just HAVE to be careful. fortunately this year i have access to a company can, so once there is a sign of snow she will be in the company garage.

I keep my camaro in the driveway in the winter =) and the summer. I drive it everyday all year. I hate the snow, but I live in wisconsin so I'll deal with it. It just kills me though in spring after the snow is gone to see fresh rust on the car. But then again, of my 2 cars, it's the crappy one. The other, well lets just say I'm not dumb, and it'll prolly hardly ever see rain for the rest of it's life.

I usually keep my car in a warehouse I rent from a friend of my family for $30 a month. Well this year there is a bunch of stuff in there that was supposed to be out by the time mine was ready to go in but it didn't work out so I looked every where and can't find anything!! The U store it places wanted like $85 a month. So it looks like I am going to be putting it in my driveway w/ a cover over it and a tarp over the cover!! Sux but that looks like what I wll have too do.
Mine sits on the side of the road and gets driven through almost all weather. (There are some snow storms I won't attempt to drive in.) Nothing better than having to wake up at four o'clock in the morning to have to shovel the three feet of snow off of your car that the city trucks plowed onto it. One of these days my dreams of having a driveway or better yet a garage will come true.

I have to drive in the winter, yet I won't drive if it is snowing. Now that I'm at college at the most I drive 50 miles a week.

up here in ma when the snow gets bad i drive the 84 ford ranger/winter beater, but when the roads get dry, the camaro comes out, btw these cars LOVE cold air. my ranger is funny, it has a 4 banger mustang engine, and has a custom(spray Paint) black paintjob w/ silver stripes and flames on the hood and WOW on the tailgate. the only thing goood about it is that i can put chains on the tires and not get stuck

The garage, where else. I have to stick towels at the bottom of the garage door though to keep the ouside dirt and dust from coming in (I'm too lazy to replace the weather stripping). I keep both my windows rolled down about half an inch, I unplug the battery, and I keep it covered. I'll start it up every 2 weeks and let it get up to running temperature. I also remeber to check the air in the tires and to oil the leather (really important).

Mine is staying in my heated garage. Where the only purpose to keep it heated is for the car. But it gets d*mn cold in MN. Still driving it now since its like 60 degrees out yet.

Because the original owner of my 88 IROC-Z took care of my car it has never seen snow. I am not about to let it sit out in through an ohio winter. Where I live they put so much salt on the road the road turns white. I had to talk my dad into letting me have the garage over the summer and it was harder to get him to let me have it for the winter but he finally agreed. I get his 89 ford ranger, total piece but 4-wheel-drive and runs. I just got a cover for it about a week ago, when the first snow flake falls the cover goes on and she is parked. I'm glad I checked out this topic, I didnt know I should disconnect the battery or anything else, just a un-educated highschool kid.
Maybe I'll take her out for a spin when the roads get dry.
I haven't seen the guy with "....to the highschool parking lot..." in his sig. I always liked that one.

88IROCZJG, where do you live in ohio? i can sympathize with the white roads caked with salt. Its getting to the point where i go through winter beaters like nothing else. thats what you get for living directly on top of a salt mine i guess. btw, i live just east of cleveland.
