(Dr. Pepper Addict) dude your car is f$#ing sweet! i always wanted to see what a blue iroc would look like with white stripes going down it, and now i know it looks awesome! it will definetly look alot better also when you get the stripes down the front, but like i said man, your car rocks, plus its fast as hell. later

The stripes look good but I think you should run them all the way down the front to match the back...this is how mine looked when I bought it last year:
------------------
'91 Z28 1LE; 355, Sportsman II heads, Edelbrock TPI w/ 58mm TB, Tremec TKO 5-speed, 3.73's & much, much more

Thanks guys - they really messed up on my stripes - they are going to be equally wide from the start of the stripes as they go down and cover the front ground effect - I am on my way to drop it off!

Looks like a pretty nice car...
I dont really care for full body stripes though.... I always preferred the OEM looking ones...
Doesnt look all that bad though....

Beautiful car, many mods, but now I am turning attention to the 'bird!

I really like the stripes on both your cars.I think it will look better when they widen the hood stripes and bring them all the way down.By the way...what type of black outs are those?GTS?..the reason i am asking is because i do not see the little white GTS emblems. If they are GTS ones, how the heck did you get the emblems off with out damaging your covers?Once again, nice rides guys!!

The mods I have are as follows: ZZ4, headers, 3" exhaust, K&N air filters, shift kit, 3.73 gears (made a BIG difference), stock (unported) tpi, drag radials, 1850 stall, afpr, tb coolant bypass, ac (all components) removed, and for now that is all I can think of!
The blackouts are GTS...just take some rubbing alcohol and they come off - they are stickers!

(Dr. Pepper Addict) That is a really nice clean car. I like it, it is amking me think more about how I am going to redo my '89. We need more clean, nice, fast third gens crusin' around and maybe we can get rid of our bad reputation.

Well, as it turns out, it looks like my car is going to get totally repainted again and the stripes and wetsanded - this is insane! My car has been repainted a LOT lately...I got it done at Earl Scheib and have been through 3 managers because everyone keeps messing up! This new guy sounds a lot more professional though.

That looks really nice. It will be sweet when you get the stripes down the front. As an added bonus, you'll **** off some Mustang owners by having "Shelby stripes" on a Camaro!

Yeah you have to watch some of those painters. My Dad has been painting and managing shops for near 35 years now and I know how it goes in a body shop. Some painters are excellent and some come in to work drunk, high, hung over, I’ve seen it. What you should do is ask to see some of his work before you let him paint it. What are you going for this time? You don’t like the way it looks as it is now? I think its pretty sweet.

Yeah, it's gonna be the same except for the stripes coming all the way down - it is a "free-do" looky there! I new word lol.
I actually had a kid come up to me about a year ago when I had my stock hood, spoiler and old stripes on saying "Hey sir! I LOVE your Viper!" then I said "actually, it's a......Thanks! I try to keep her clean as possible!"

I think the blue colour looks awesome
I odn't much like the stripes, but hey that's just me
I think that blackouts are awesome and I need to get some soon =)
That blue is perfect
In my opinion you should get some like 16-17" centerlines deep ones with 5 spokes, some fat tall rubber with white letters and tint it way dark.
Then it would look unbelievable!

Yes, most of them were manufactured in the '80s, however, they don't have to represent the '80s. Most of the people who modify their cars give them a more modern look by doing the things that are currently popular; lowered stance, low profile black wall tires, big wheels, etc. But if your goal is to restore the car to stock, by all means go for the tall white lettered tires.
it's funny - It wasn't until I was like 17 until I noticed "nice" cars around - when my IROC was brand new, I was only 9, and probably wouldn't even be able to tell you what an IROC was!
the car is lookin sweet man. I'm gonna guess you won't have it before thanksgiving?

Wow that is amazing! At the time, (thanks to my dad) my favorite was a 57 Chevy as well!
Anthony, I sure hope I'll have it by Thanksgiving! It's not a "quality" paint job, it's a Scheib job. However, I think it came out super. We will see what happens this time!
