I found this pic on gr8ride.com. I really like the 4thgen wheels on the 3rdgen Camaro. I have always been partial to the 'salad shooter' style wheels anyways. Oh yeah, the reverse opening hood is kinda trick also!

Actually... I really like that...
I'm sure you'd need spacers, but I'll bet you could score a set of those wheels for not that much $$ cause they're common... on 4th gens! But not on ours! hehehe

Are they 16X8s or so? Cause i'd almost like to do that to mine

Yeah, they are 16x8s, same as '91-'92 Z28 wheels. I had those on my '94. I wish I had swaped the wheels with the ones on my RS.

roughly 2, 2 1/2 spacers and you should be able to use those wheels without a problem(I'm using 98-2k TA wheels).

like the hood, hate the rims. I have my drag radials on a set of salad shooters.....they are ****ing ugly.....ick.

BTW, you can get a set of them for $150 - $200 on camaroz28.com's classifieds. But you will need spacers.

The salad shooters look MUCH better on thirdgens. I think I'd go as far as to say they look better than the style on 91-92 Z's. I still like iroc wheels the best.

I always wondered what my car would look like with those wheels. Would you need spacers just in the back or all around?

Wow, those actually do look good...I doubt they'd look as good without that silver lower color on the car though. I like the hood too!

You need spacers all the way around, at least I did on my 86 Trans Am.

Yes, you need spacer all the way around. I have those on my 84. Even with the spacers, you will have to use flat weights on the inside. In the front, that regular balancing weights will beat the **** out of the tie rods, and in the back, the parking brake cable will hit the weight on the right tire, if you use regular balancing weights. Also, the front tires will rub when you turn them all the way to lock. Other than that, they are well worth it, both for ride and handling!

Actually, if you do whats been done to my car, you could put a 4th gen rear in the back and then only need front spacers. With how expensive the spacers are it would be a good time to upgrade the rear end(if you have a peg leg or something).
