A few engine pics!
Thought I'd share a few pics of my engine after I got my car up and running again yesterday.
And yes, I'll be ordering the coolant overflow and washer fluid tanks this week, to clean up a little bit extra.
I will also straighten up the different wires, hoses etc. - for a cleaner appearance.
It is near impossible to make an engine with all accessories and smog equipment look clean. It is just too crowded...LOL.

Nice Ken. One day I hope to have mine looking that good. But I guess I need to work a little more than 8 hours a week to get anything done.

Please don't take this the wrong way, considering my car is way from perfect. The engine looks good, but something just looks funny. It's like the entire engine and everything is the same color, like it is in black and white, while the engine bay is in color. I don't know maybe it's just me. So how's the car running. Ever find out what the problem when coming to a stop?

Mark, I got the pictures to come up. I think the black and white thing might be his digital camera. You can tell that the runners and plenum are highly polished or chrome, but from the picture they don't have awhole lot of shine. I think it's just the camera.

Thanks for the thumbs up
And Mark, I don't get offended easilly
- I appreciate any comments as there are always inputs on things that can improve what I've done!! So NO offense taken!
So, to answer your question - you are right, there are no colors on the engine. That is actually on purpose. I don't personally care for a lot of colors on the engine itself, which is why you will not find anything anodized, no red plugwires, no colored wire tubing and so on. As a side note, believe it or not, I actually replaced most of the wire tubing but they are black, with exception of the ones that are laying on the intake, which are aluminum covered due to the heat.
As for ONEFORMULAOVERALL's idea - I didn't think I would like it - but it looks real good!!

Ken, while your here quick question.
I've been looking around on the connector ends, hose connections so on and so on. Almost all of them are Red or Blue. Very very few are polished or chrome. Where did you get most of yours at?

Ken looks awesome man.
the only comment i have is MOTHERS ALUMINUM POLISH to the AC stuff. you wont believe what it does. it will make it shine like the rest.
good job. well done. i know it took alot of time and patience so....
and i think the colors are nice in there.. chrome(basically)and black. perfect combo.

Ions91Z28,
I've bought pretty much everything from Summit. They have a lot of that stuff in stainless steel or chrome, depending on what it is.
RARE-ROC-Z,
Thanks man, - yeah, I'll buff it up again. The condenser was fully polished like the TPI stuff, it just lost some of it during the install of everything. Thanks for pointing it out though - I see in the pics that I need to get on that...LOL.
Oh, and regarding the picture quality - I did go out this evening and snap them in the dark, so it is all lit up by the flash. That is probably one reason it looks dull as well.

Ken, you did a great job on the engine and you know how I feel about black and chrome. LOL Now all we have to do is try to get together next summer and see them in person. Hopefully there'll be a show or cruise somewhere between us. Again, great job!
