i wrapped some things on my car were the paint had either chipped or peeled or that i just wanted them to be black ha what do you guys think?

 

front ground effect, headlight buckets, t tops, and windshield pillars

 

and the little strip across the rear bumper by the logo (the guys who painted my car did a somewhat not good job on that part and it started to peel right off haha so its wrapped with a sticker :P )

Not bad man, I do like the rear bumper cover the best. The fornt lip is differant and not a bad touch.

 

Pretty cool, I really like the strip on the back bumper too.

 

I think that the front lip looks really good, but could look even better with the Z28 grill. The headlight buckets look right at home, but a pillars don't flow to me. I would peel it off the pillars and leave the rest.

The stripe on the bumper fits very nice, just gives it that straight look.

 

Wrap T-Tops in Vinyl? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

 

That looks good, I like the front bumper alot. I've always had the thought of wrapping my headlight buckets in vinyl since they are currently the same color of the body, and I don't want them painted.

 

Same purpose as GM designing and optioning a T-top shade. I never used mine as a window to look out of while I was driving, and when I wrapped mine it actually cooled down the interior when sitting out side on a hot day.

 

now you need a big ol intercooler in that grill

 

What if you wrapped the whole ground effects in black?

 

The front gfx thing isnt quite my taste... but it's tastefully done. the side markers and headlight buckets and rear bumper strip look great. The a-pillars look terrible.

All in all I think you need to take it off the a-pillars and rock the rest of it as long as you like. Nice looking car. You never see many silver ones but they're stunning in that color.

It looks horrible.






It doesn't flow at all, it just makes it look like you put body panels that are the wrong color onto your car.

 

I could not afford to paint my car so I had a cheap vinyl wrap done -
4 different panel colours on the car !
Must do a small build thread sometime !

How much did it cost you? How hard is this stuff to remove later?

It cost me £300 so about $450-500 i guess???

Its not perfect - the shape of our cars do not lend themselves to being wrapped.
A high end wrap in the uk is about £2000 - £3000 so you can see it was a cheap job !

 

To remove it you heat it up and peel it off like any sticker.
If the paint is good before hand it will be fine.
On a new car it will be perfect when you take it off

 

I had a guy from a sign company wrap it.
Over in the US there are loads of companies doing it.
I saw plenty at SEMA in Vegas 2 yrs ago, so it should be pretty easy to find someone.
Im going back to SEMA in a few weeks so i can look to see how its moved on in the industry !

after posting this thread i have added some halo headlights :3

 

also the biggest reason i added the windshield pillars to was because of my owners manual. i was a little bit sketched to do them at first i figured since it was vynal it would be very easy to remove so i did them and now its growing on me haha

 

i got all my stuff wrapped for 200 bucks but i work with a kid that does it so he gave me a good price for it and i really like what it changed

 

Thats interesting... never seen it before. Must have been a pre-production version. Looks like they completed that thought in 93 with the ugly Camaros with black roofs.

 

Looks like nice detailing, especially on the bumper. Seems like something I should look into - a small thing to make the car yours.

 

Man that orange color looks nice! Im thinking about wrapping the hood louvers on my vert in carbon fiber and maybe my wheels.

 

Looks awesome! I was going to extend my grill down onto the bumper lip as well!
