New Glass... All around...

I'm saving up to get my car painted... and the front windshield is not in good shape, plus being removed to fix rust up top... side windows have a couple chips... etc...

I got quotes for about $1200 for all new glass, front, sides and rear...

Not sure how good a deal that is... anyone else know of where to acquire these pieces cheaper? As for the T-Tops, I guess unless I find a NOS set... ??

I have a "spare" rear window... I hate seeing these cars freshly painted and the black trim around the rear window is still rusty... I can get the paint guy to sand / paint trim on rear window, I just need to inspect what I got and see if any scratches... or just get a new virgin one ????!!!???

I live in Tampa Bay Florida....

Thanks,

Rafael

That sounds a little steep!!!new windshield should run around $200 installed, you have the hatch window, that saves you quite a few bucks their, pickup a couple of good door windows for no more that $75 a piece.get a price from the windshield guy on installing what you have.

You can paint the black trim around the rear window and on the t tops and they will look brand new again. It will only cost you some sandpaper, primer, paint, and elbow grease and the results will make you happy. Use SEM trim black for that. The side windows will probably clean up fine also. As far as the windshield, I would get a new one if yours looks a bit old. Just remember to pick up a windshield trim piece from Firebird Central. The replacement trim that the glass guys use is quite a bit larger then the original. Kitt wouldn't approve.
