I've been slacking as far as taking some new pictures. These last few summers have been really busy. But here are some extra pics:

Original L98. But with a HSR:

I also detailed the bottom of the car when I was working under there. It was pretty clean with no undercoating. So I grabbed a scrub brush with some simple green and went to town. Then I put a layer of some durable wax on it.

fearthisgta really needs to post better pictures of his green GTA! I'm going to hold off on voting until all of the nominees have had a chance to show-off their beauties. All of the cars nominated appears to be really clean examples of stock appearing cars.

Ok, Here is my 1992 Z28 Heritage edition convertible, 1 of 208 made! I bought this in June (and lucky to still have my ***** - didn't get wife's approval before buying it) of this year and have been trying my best to get it restored to all of its glory.

Interior

Underhood

Here is where this car looked like when I got it in June... ewww!!! Been parked under that tree since 2009.

Since this is such a rare car I have been taking and putting everything back to stock as much as possible. The only modification from stock is the new 3" catback exhaust, non-factory speakers, tires, and battery. Next project is taking the car in for paint. It been a fun project for sure! Appreciate the nomination for sure, and any vote I receive, the car is nice, but there is some AMAZING cars in here this month
If you have a few extra minutes of time... cruise through my "build" thread

Just checking in from A-stan... saw I'm in this month's list! Thanks to whoever nominated me. Here's some info on my car:
1991 B4C Camaro
20,xxx miles
305 LB9
T5 Manual
N10 Dual Converter Exhaust
Radio Delete
Car was purchased by a dealership in Illinois for showroom stock; GM found out after the fact but the car was already being shipped. The salesman who sold the car retired about 9 months ago from the shop. The car is a low-option car but has all the performance options minus the 1LE piece.
The car has the original paperwork, to include window sticker, warranty, B4C brochure, and the 1991 Camaro brochure.
The car is completely stock except for:
1. Firestone tires (originals are in the attic)
2. Aftermarket muffler
3. Window tint (protect the inside from the FL sun!)
4. Hidden ipod hookup placed behind the original radio delete panel. Interior looks stock but will play music over the four factory speakers
Here are some additional pics:

I wanted to say I had my first ride in a t-top 3rd gen in a car identical to yours. Mom liked it (I was 15) and the dealer let us have it for the weekend. we put about 150 miles on her and I have the vivid memory of Fleetwood mac ("tusk" album) on cassette playing on a nice day with the t-tops off. now it is my favorite road trip album in my GTA
Loved the clean crisp lines of that Z. it was a HO and would squeal the tires going from 1st to 2nd
ahh memories!
nice GTA fearthisgta
even a Jr member got nominated here.. cool..im senior member and never had

so many freakin nice rides!

I don't feel your/anyones member status has much to do with getting the nod for COTM. I feel that most of the members that have been nominated, at one time or another have posted often with quality pictures of their cars. Being on the site longer sure helps make friends and have a "following", but posting pics of the things you are doing with your car has got to be the number one thing you can do to improve you chances of being nominated. People love pics...

Re: January 2013 COTM *Voting*
1987 IROC-Z, 19,500 original miles, L98, Bose, Leather, louvers, power everything. Window Sticker price in 1987, over $21k!

And a little fun!!!

Re: January 2013 COTM *Voting*
Why are you posting links to pictures of your car in this thread? This thread is for the cars that have been nominated to post additional information, not for you to hijack. This doesn't seem to be the best way to get nominated in the future.

PMFJI, but I LOLed when I read this. Just this morning, as I drove my car to the mechanic for service, I had this woman in a little car, glued to my rear bumper for whatever reason. I drove for several miles with an eye on the road and the other on the rearview mirror, while using creative language.
Then while on the Interstate, worrying about a big dump truck ahead.
When I drive my truck I am (usually) very relaxed. Every time I drive the T/A I hold a white-knuckled grip on the steering wheel. lol.
Love your car, BTW. Especially the color

Great work on your car by the way. Glad to see you kept the original colors and put some of the stripes back on --- planning on putting the lower stripes back? Either way, it looks great!

My decision was extremely difficult! IMO, 86TA355SR's black GTA is the best looking, the '91 Trans Am GTA is my favorite car, ScottMoyer's IROC is beautiful, but I ended-up giving my vote to Motobooks. Luis did such a wonderful job restoring his '84 T/A!
Re: January 2013 COTM *Voting*
Ok, I want to complain!!! IROCThe5.7's car doesn't look stock to me. He should be eliminated. Motobook's car has carbon fiber under the hood, so he should be eliminated! I WIN. I WIN!!!!!!!
Ok, I'm just joking around. This month has some really nice cars. I love the blue color of Motobooks and drjewaltan's cars. My first car looked very similar to drjewalton's and a good friend had a TA that looked just like Motobook's back in high school. I want another 83 Z28 in that color and a 5 speed. Mine was missing almost every option though.

Sure found the right man to preserve it.That color is one of the reasons I bought my car
Have always loved that shade of blue.
And thanks for the nice comment. It has been a fun project... for the most part - haha. As far as the stripes go, one week I am ready to install them, the next one I don't care for them. Only time will tell.

But seriously I appreciate the votes guys. I neglected the IROC the last two summers because I purchased an R6 and was busy with that. It's the little things like this that light a fire under my butt to complete the newest project on my car. Happy Holidays everyone!
