i heard these car edometer miles reset when they hit 100k miles ? is this true ? if not my only have 87k miles.

 

Early ones only had the 5 digit speedo, so yes they did go back to 0 after 100k

 

what year they start using 5 digit until what year they stop ?

 

I believe they started 6 digit in 88 or 89, I'm not sure. They had 5 digit throughout the 60s and 70s

 

mabe 89, cause my 88 iroc z having 5 digit , and its 87k miles, I hope its not 187k miles, is miles ever storage on computer some where ?

 

the 6 digit for camaros came out in 90 when they did a dash makeover that year. i believe the birds were 6 digit earlier or have always been (not sure). and digital dash 3rdgens store miliage in a module.

 

Its possibly 187. You can probably judge based on the condition of the car, the title should also document it. I believe CarFax would know the correct milage as well because I believe they document milage at each title change.
