Hey the Camaro spoiler actually looks nice on your Bird. I'd consider that myself. Does it bolt on to the deck lid in the same spots as the original spoiler or did you have to drill and plug? If it does fit exactly, to which spoiler, the aerowing or the plain small rise one? I have an aerowing I could sell to anyone who wants one by the way, cheap too, just if anyone was interested.

 

I don't have my camera here right now to take any but, I do have this one (from my site) of my bird as it sits in the garage right now waiting for me to make up my mind on what kind of door handles to put on it. (and no, I'm not shaving them, I don't like that look)



It also has the camaro's wheels/bald tires for the winter. I didn't see a point in buying a new set of tires for a car that isn't going anywhere all winter so, the camaro had the GTA rims, the 'bird got the Z28 wheels.

As far as swapping the spoilers, the one I have came from JEGS (I believe A&A makes it). It will not line up to any OEM spoiler holes on a firebird and you do have to drill new holes for it after filling the old ones. I'd like to have the fiberglass aero wing back on there but, the price is a little to rich for my blood right now.

Deadbird...thanks. That looks really good. I found that wing for $155.00 or $170.00 with the light from www.spoiler2000.com and have pretty much decided that is that way I'm going too. Just want something with the correct lines that doesn't blow the whole budget.

Hey Deadbird,what type of door is that?Is that a complete door or just a door skin?I was just wondering because of the filled door handle hole.The wing looks good on your ride BTW.As far as door handles,I have been looking into trying to get a set of 97-98 Grand-Am ones.I like them,plus my wife has those on her car and a long time ago,I seen a 3rd. gen. Camaro with them or a pair exactely like them.They looked AWESOME!!!They sat flat,just made for a smoother appearance all around,just an option versus shaving,Oh and they were painted the same color as the body.

Hey Brent, thanks for the thoughts about a grand am handle, I never really paid any attention to them. Even though the holes really can't be seen in that pic, the doors on my car are still 100% stock (the handle pockets & holes are still there,, just no handles), they're just not painted yet due to my indecision. I was considering 92-ish chevy truck handles or grafting some from an 86 CRX, I do want a handle, just something flush.

I ruled out the CRX ones after remembering the one I had still had the locks on the skin. I really want something intergrated & flush but, doesn't look out of place. I planned on making the handle match the body color too, only handles that stick out (like the OEM ones) look good a contrasting color.
