Hi all, I am rebuilding a 1985 Iroc-Z as my first car and I am new to the forum. I am almost done prepping it for paint. I have decided to change the color from black to Gunmetal Gray. I love the look of the stock gunmetal gray on the 1988 Camaros, but I can not find a definite paint code for the gunmetal grey. All I have seen is medium gray, but is that color the same as the gunmetal gray on the 1988 Camaros? If not, can someone please tell me what the paint code is for the gunmetal gray? Thanks.

And also yes WA9243 is medium/gunmetal gray ( a 1988 only color)

just ppg's baseline paint system
shop-line base/clear
only cost like $250 for paint.

 

Also, did you paint your headlight buckets gloss black? They look good.

mark-do you have a few more pictures of your car with the gunmetal gray-I realllly like it and am looking for a similar color-so this may be the one-would like to see pictures in an outdoor area-I'm also looing at the ppg shopline brand for the price-if you also have any of the specific clearcoat, reducers, etc numbers you used and any notes on how to apply that would really help and be greatly appreciated-it looks like mine will be painted (eventually in my garage, unfortunately)
