So I just bought some 86 IROC wheels after a long time of looking for ones i thought were worth it. These ones were pretty right on, but they have the gold paint, I would have preferred the black for my blue Camaro, and they do need a little bit of refinishing. I would like you thirdgen experts out there to help me out here. I would like to repaint the gold areas black, and refinish the whole wheel. Anyone know a good way to do this? I don't want to leave the wheel un clear coated either, I want the aluminum to be protected. Please leave a list of supplies and directions for repainting and refinishing the wheels. Thanks a ton!

 

I refinished the wheels on my convertible with great results and used a duplicolor clear wheel paint to top it off. the finish is very close to factory.
