Just installed my new 10000K HID on my 84' Z28!
It is a plug and play kit so I didn't cut any wire!
Took a BIG 30 minutes to install!
Here's some pics!
P.S. I love it!

You won't be able to see shitt with 10k color at night. Change the bulbs to 4-5k for a large improvement. Nice car btw.

I know! But I drove this car at night 3 times in the last 3 years! Its my "relax week end" car! I go to car-show or get an ice cream with my girlfriend when its sunny! Never drove it on rain in since 1992! (I know the last owner)!

Re: HID 10000K
This may be a dumb question to some, but...

I found these on Ebay too, and was gonna start bidding butI was wondering if they're legal because of the deep blue color? If they're not legal, where could I find some replacement bulbs that are legal?

Well, where I live, 10000k isnt legal... But 8000k are "ok" so if I got some trouble I will change for 8000k!

Well ... Im not getting 10000k to have see better... I could use 6-8000k... Im not getting my 18" and a drop to have a more "comfortable" ride ... I bought this for the look only! Its a plug-and-play kit so if im pissed off I will buy 8000k!

39.95$ for 2 bulbs, and yes its a plug and play kit, so I can swap bulb or I can swap OEM light in 10 minutes!

Actually it's your problem since those light are illegal in many states. I hope you get a ticket for blinding innocent drivers

The bulbs of HID can be replace with other one if its the same W, I got 35Watt bulbs so my transfo output is 35W, I need to swap for 8000k 35W and it will be ok!

Re: HID 10000K
does the light scatter or does it have cut off point to keep from blinding any on coming traffic. Interested in the housing not so much the 10k bulbs even thought they do look great.

car looks great by the way.

Re: HID 10000K
There's no cutoff in non projector lamps. At least in the US (& Europe) HIDs are not DOT (e-code) legal w/out projectors.Dont know bout them canadians, but i think they go by DOT standards.

You need help for? You need to follow the diagram with the HID, but don't forget, GM control light by the ground, so you need to switch the wire!

Re: HID 10000K
I've got the ballast hooked up to the bulbs correctly, but these were included and I'm not sure what they're for, yet where they go. Do they hook up to the housing?

They look good. The 6-8k will blind you the same if not more. They are good for animals wanting to cross the roads. ESP for me bc I don't drive at night much
