Farewell Thirgen

Well I'm sitting in a turnlane playing with the radio waiting on the light and I get nailed in the back of the car. Well thankfully the guy had full coverage (they were going to total the car because of the parts needed) but got it fixed (tail light, bumper, re bar, dent on lower quarter), the most impact was on the left side. Well after getting the car fixed, the transmission goes out, well I get that fixed and forgot to flush the trans cooler. Well on the way back to work from walmart, motor starts idling bad and knocking. Limp it back to the shop and then when i get there I went to put it in park, what park? Well drive it around carefully and all I have is some of first gear. I check the engine oil and the motor had created a new metallic black and silver oil color. So I'm done with the car, out of money and patience. Everything that can go wrong has gone wrong, so the car is getting parked. Goodbye fellow thirdgenners...

Re: Farewell Thirgen

Sorry to hear all that.

That thing is too pretty to just let it go. Park it for now, find a cheap daily driver, and rebuild that beast, then sell the DD. Then your good to go!

Re: Farewell Thirgen

So it needs a new motor and tranny and your giving up??? You have got to be kidding. My dad changed a transmission in a ditch before so its not that hard. Just save up for a built transmission and find a used engine. I had a spun bearing in my old engine and took me 2 weeks to find/get a new one in it. Too late to give up now

Re: Farewell Thirgen

Sorry to see you giving up, but I don't see what this has to do with A&D...
