Cylinder Head cleaning question!

I have a set of heads im putting on my thirgen and they're off my other car, and in good condition they just need some of the surface mess cleaned up, im wondering what i should use to clean them that wont hurt anything, theyre all assembled, valves and all

I've heard that oven cleaner and a garden hose works well.
Don't be afraid to scrub.

I'm in the same boat, but I disassembled mine, and sent them to a machine shop to be cleaned and magnafluxed.

I took mine apart, then used wd40 and a scotchbright pad, takes some work but it doesnt scratch or mess anything up. I got some pictures I can put up later on. I actualy only finished 1 so far, I gotta go do the other then put them on.

i dont really wanna take mine apart they were just recently redone, wd40 wont kill anything on em will it?

i use a power washer, if you don't have onbe tru the car wash then i use a die grinder with a wire brush and maybe brake cleaner

i just got done porting and roller sanding mine, how should i get all those little pieces of aluminum out of the valve guids?

Simple Green, a stiff bristle brush and clean water, dry throughly after completion and coat lightly with clean oil (the internal parts that is).
