***** SEPTEMBER Nominations*****

This thread is designed as a nomination board to narrow down to the top ten thirdgens found on this board. This is not a picture thread to post pictures of your own vehicle, and you cannot nominate your own vehicle. To nominate a member you must provide a user name and POST ONE GOOD PHOTO of the vehicle (for others to possibly 2nd, 3rd, 4th the nomination).

*I'm not gonna get super picky on this... Acceptable mods: Exhaust system change, radio/speaker update, window tint, tire upgrade/replacement, K&N Drop in replacement filters. Lets find the best of stock/restorations*


Once a vehicle has been nominated, there is no need to post additional pics, but please post with members screen name as a second, third etc nomination.

One nomination per member. So please do not list of your top 20 favorite cars... think about this, it will be an honor, pick one. If multiple nominations are made by a single member, I will only count the first posted member when creating a tally.

*** The 10 or less cars with the most nominations will be complied into a new thread around August 15th, at which time poll format will be used to nominate the August car of the month. A car must receive more than one nomination be included in the voting process ***

I know some people suggested/complained that there should be a month with JUST original type 3rd Gens to vote on. Looking back at the cars that have won it in the past. I see a handful of stock or almost completely stock looking cars. some have after market wheels and brakes. But some appear to be totally stock.

I second all cars that have been nominated. They are all nice... this will be an impossible vote. I'm particularly impressed with 1985blktransam and Puma, who have very high mileage original rides that are mint!

You know what I think would cool? We have soooooo many REALLY nice stock cars on this site, it'd be nice if we could take each one, do a story/thread about it, post some pics of it, have the owner tell us it's history, etc.

On a side note. This isn't the page to load up with a ton of pics. Post the BEST pic you can if your nominating. No need to additional pics during this phase of the COTM. We will let the owner throw up as much info as possible during the voting phase.

 

Carlos I never knew your GTA was lowered, that's a fantastic picture of your car.

That said, I will have to go with scottmoyer's IROC-Z, I have an affinity for louvers and his car is the definition of mint.

This was one of the toughest months yet, original cars are hard to choose from, especially for originality sticklers like me.

 

I nominate Russelcronk's 87 Iroc Z.
This car has 5000 original miles on the clock.

Interesting. I see some beautiful examples but to shiny. Meaning theres some stock cars being worked on restored and driven but aren't a pretty penny yet how bout those guys ??
