so far the best pass with this combo was made two weekends ago at the YB Nats, the car ran a 10.91 @ 127mph. we got a ton of data and plan to hit it hard with a gear change and some shocks. hope to have the car in the 10.6 range with the nice air this fall. all the pics and video on this post where taken at YB Nats, so they're as up to date as they can be.

The car is a 1986 camaro z28. Original 305 5 speed car.

The car itself has a custom bent 10 point cage. I body worked and primed the car myself. I converted it to manual steering and brakes and gutted as much weight out of it as I could. It sits on billet specialties streetlites 15 x 3.5 in the front and 15x10 in the rear. The rear tire is a 28 x 11.50 et street.

Engine:
Vortec headed 383. 10.3:1 cr, custom hydraulic roller cam, AED 750HP HO carburetor, and a 150 shot of nitrous. Future plans are in the works and include a twin 67mm billet precision turbocharged 400 cubic inch small block.

Transmission is a tremec tko600, ram powergrip hd clutch, mark williams 3.5" chromoly drive shaft with billey yokes. Moser back braced 9" housing, 31 spline axles, strange nodular center section, spool and 4.11 gears.

Suspension is spohn double adj lca's and phb. Spohn pro series torque arm, comp engineering 90/10 struts and 3 way adj shocks. Moroso trick springs, pa racing tubular a arms and caster camber plates. Spohn extreme anti roll bar.

It also has a complete aeromotive fuel system, a1000 pump, 10 feed and 8 return and a bypass regulator. Also has a complete auxiliary fuel system for the nitrous.

This month was easy for me. All these cars are BA but as an autoX/road racer I had to go with big mods. His car has been an inspiration to me.

I built my car with 2 main purposes in mind:
A) be able to kick a$$ on the road course
B) be able to street drive and turn some heads
I think I've done pretty well on both accounts so far.

Each time I go to the track I get faster due impart to A) driver improvements and B) Tuning and mods that I continue to make. It really is a thrill, if you haven't been to an open track event you should add it to your bucket list.

In 2012 1MeanZ and I drove this car on the Hot Rod Power Tour. I got lucky and HRM saw my car and liked it enough to do a feature on it!

Man there is a huge amount of participation this month in the voting! Guess that's what happens when you get 7 of the best for a head to head!

Couple of these cars I'm surprised don't have some more votes. Keep it up everyone!

 

I went with Orr, may not be the fastest or the cleanest but he proved that anyone can build a monster on a reasonable budget. Plus, he's one of the most helpful people on this forum. I see his posts pop up everywhere.

Mw66nova's got my vote. A sweet race car that was very cleanly built, and a lot of work has gone into. He is also a very helpful dude and very knowledgeable.

 

Combining 1 road race car with a few drag cars makes for an interesting poll.
Since more here relate to drag racing those cars are getting more of the votes.
Mb since there are 4 drag cars the drag race vote has been spread out where the road race crowd only has one dog in the fight.

 

1meanZ is a road race/autox car.

I have to be honest I Voted for Matt's car for a variety of reasons, Mostly because He does so much for our community (3rd gen), but also because it's truly a well built car. If He had not been nominated, Big Mods would definitely have gotten my vote. His car is quite impressive to say the least.
