Charlies' angels has the tightest 67-69 camaro in it. White w/ orange stripes, cowl hood and a bad exhaust. Too bad its just 3 chicks driving it and not me. Theres also a sweet early bronco that a guy drives near the end.
The charlie's angel's camaro is a 1969 camaro ss/rs indy pace car. I think it has a 396 but I never could get a good look at the fender where it would say 396 or 350. I think that movie sucked but I saw the previews with that car in it so I had to go see it. MY DAD HAS THE EXACT CAR SITTING IN MY GARAGE. His is a 350. Importsrsloths Why do you need a movie with a camaro? Next GCFBA get together, I will bring the 69 camaro, we are finally done with it.

The reason that thirdgens don't show up in any good movies for more than a second or two is because they're junk. If the movie wants a nice car they aren't going to use a car that everyone and their brother has owned. They'll use a classic or an exotic.
When you do see a thirdgen in a movie, the reason it gets trashed is because these cars are plentiful in the junkyards and easy to repair. They pull a car from a yard, make it run and pull most of the dents, maybe do something to make it look unique, then paint it all one color, without badging, so it looks like a decent car, but costs little money, then they destroy it the same as if it'd gone thru a crusher after sitting in a junkyard for another week.
In other words all these "sweet" thirdgens in movies are actually trash. Don't feel bad when they get trashed because the only usable parts they're destroying are body panels, and most of those are probably full of bondo anyway.

I needed a break from studying last night, so I turned on the TV just in time to see Randy Travis trash that blue camaro in Black Dog.... after they ditched the car, I shut it off.. that movie sucks.

There was this movie from the 70's called The Driver about (duh) a getaway driver, it had Bruce Dern in it, anyway at the end there was this bad*** chase betweena second gen firebird (silver) and a hotrodded truck. Too bad the firebird ended up getting trashed and then flipped. Also there was another movie I forget what it was called or who was in it, but this guy's girlfriend or wife was cheating on him with this guy in a black and gold thirdgen Z28, the first guy then commenced to trashing the crap out of it. Oh yeah, it was from the late 70's early 80's.
Well, my '86 was used in Brooks & Dunn's music video Rock My World, Little Country Girl back in the early 90s. Things have changed quite a bit since then...

Also it was Van Damme who got his butt kicked in a bar. I believe that was around the same time he had a drug problem.
Also, The Adventure's in Babysitting had a Camaro in it, I believe it was tucked away in an alley or something.

Anyone else have trouble believing the Charger in the Fast and the Furious could pull such a wicked wheel stand with those tires (Look at the pic halfway up)?
Also, in american beaty, the guy Kevin Spacey plays buys a 67 convertable T/A... that's another sweet ****in' car.

Theres no way that 69 charger in the fast and the furious could have pulled off that wheel stand. First off, if you have the traction to lift the tires like that, you dont get that much smoke, second, the car raised to a certain height, stayed for 4-5 seconds, then dropped. Unless the car had some kind of square power curve, the height of the car would be more sinusoidal. Just downloaded the movie and thought that was one of the most haneous parts of it.
From what I understand the Charger that does the wheelie is a custom wheelie car with the engine in the back built for Dukes of Hzzard but never used. It is not the same as the car pulling out of the driveway in the pix. Derek

Definetly one of the best chase scenes ever. Although it NEVER gets mentioned in the top movie car chase scenes.

Hetfield actually borrowed the black Camaro from a buddy of his.The guy had no idea he was going to get air with it in San Francisco.I heard he was kinda pissed off, but he knew Hetfield was good for the money if anything happened to it.
He does have some musclecars of his own, too.

Confusing a camaro with a chevelle and a MOPAR!!!!!!!! Sweet bippy, where has our knowledge of classic muscle gone?
The car in dazed and confused was a 71-72 Chevelle SS454 with the LS5 454 in it. You can tell its a 71 or 72 cause of the single headlights and the double round tail lights. A 70 has double headlights and single square tailights. the 70 was the only year that looked like had that headlight/tailight setup with the squared off quarter windows. the 69-back had triangle shaped windows.
Easy way to tell 1st gen camaros apart:
67 has vent windows
69 has 3 chrome louvers on the rear quarters in front of the rear tires.
68 doesnt have either the vent windows or louvers.
Confusing a Charger with a camaro is inexcuseable. the Charger is much bigger then a camaro. It has a big trunk deck on it, camaros are all fastback styles.
As far as the wheelie, you cant smoke the tires and pull a wheelstand at the same time. it contradicts itself. to get that car to wheelie in the movie they put special hydraulic lift bars under that car to pop it up. the smoke was used to hid the bars. thats the only way a car could hop up that quick.
people, please try and expand your knowledge of classic muscle. dont let these cars die. they are the true performers and without them we wouldnt have had the later muscle cars we all enjoy.

The Eddie Murphy movie Coming To America had a red GTA in it. They used that car to show that the guy Murphy was competing with for the girl had money.
It didn't get wrecked or anything. I think the movie was made in '88.

Right on Drew, you're my hero. I couldn't believe how far I had to read down this post before someone could accurately describe the car from Better Off Dead. Of course I only got into third gens as something to do when I'm not improving my first gen! Yes people, the hidden headlights depict an RS model, but what do you think the vents on the hood are? SS baby. The car is a 67 RS/SS,

It doesn't really matter since there isn't a GOOD movie in existence that uses a thirdgen for anything.
BTW the Camaro in Better off Dead is a 67 RS/SS. SS badges, RS hideaway headlights. At one point they show an owners manual for a 69, but if you'll notice the car has vent windows, an 67 only feature.

I believe in TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY , there was a thirdgen Camaro or Firebird with them ugly louvres over the back hatch that drove by at the part right after the Terminator rescued John Connor from the chase in the tow truck in the beginning...right as the TERMINATOR pulls up to stop it drives by,,pretty neat.
