Been lots of posts about thirdgens in movies...probably in the appearance board. Enemy of the state had a thirdgen and i believe a first gen if i remember correctly....and I believe Charlies Angels Drove a Camaro SS (1st gen). And there was the scene in the Matrix that showed a thirdgen (just parked though). And you had a quick glimpse of a 91-92 black Z in Point Break. Then there was Black Dog. And Beverly Hills Cop 3. And thats all I remember.

There's a movie that's been on comedy central several times... I can't remember the title, somebody may be able to identify it from my description.

The main character is a high school student that is being constantly harrased by some japanese guys in some little import... basically its the typical 80's movie and he goes after the wrong girl, trying to impress her with his skiing "skills" by challenging the local skiing jock to a skiing contest etc. I don't really know how to explain the plot better... in his quest to catch the eye of this girl, he befriends the next door french foreign exchange student who actually is a car mechanics wizard... long story short she helps him fix up the 69 camaro sitting in the yard and they go whoop up on the punk *** japanese guys... The car had those hideaway headlights, but I don't know if it was an SS... hopefully somebody can find the title for you.

There's that one movie with Steven Segal and DMX where a red thirdgen Camaro beat up with a bat. I almost couldn't watch. Can't think of the title though.

Car N' Driver hit it on the nose... "Better off Dead" That camaro has more than one gratuitary shot... it's probably featured in half of the movie... if you want to see a bad *** black 69 Camaro, that is the movie to watch... the french chick is pretty hot too

Edit: the new movie "The One" has a couple scenes with the two good guys driving around in a silver first gen. That movie is awesome too, I give it two thumbs up.

Except the car didn't get beat with a bat, a guy got thrown through the hatch glass.

The blue IROC with the rollbar in 'Black Dog' was sweet! Too bad it got wrecked.

The '67 SS in 'Better Off Dead' is one bad *** ride! The movie is also hilarius!!!

There is a movie that I saw recently that had a woman who was in hiding because she witnessed a murder. She drove a '91-'92 RS which was featured in several chase scenes. Her brothers appear at one point driving an early 3rdgen SC. Anyone know what this movie was called?

RSFREAK, do you mean Shaft? Even if you didn't it has Samuel L. Jackson in it as Shaft. Not the best movie but it's got a light blue third gen. It looks like early 90's. I can only remember it in one scene where a girl is running from Shaft. She hops in the car and takes off....the car gets a little beat up....it was hard to watch the first time.

I watched some movie a long *** time ago where this kid was going to race another kid with a Porsche in his friends dad's 3rdgen Firebird (forget if it was a Formula or T/A) but the Firebird got wrecked before the race and he ended up putting a bus engine in some pos import car and racing the Porsche with that.

...unless you saw another car in the movie.

A great movie that is pretty much entirely about this Camaro (not sure on year) is Eat My Dust. Everyone should see that anyway.

Actually it's yellow. I watched that movie again last night for the first time since owning my thirdgen. Somehow the bullets go through the back of the car without hitting the chick or the gas tank.

Yeah of course there is Knight Rider, but Knight Rider 2000 was a POS movie, and also, if you want to see that same crappy car again, it was in CHiPs 2000 also as a multi-million dollar state of the art car, but it is running around on small *** 14" rims...some multi-million dollar car lol

Ok, heres one for ya.
In Steven King's "IT", the one with the clown, there is a sweet 88 or so red IROC convertible. Nice car, but not too much screen time. Plus it rode around with like 4 people in it LOL!

Previous engine-350, .040 over, vette alum. L98s, stock tpi, stock 305 injectors & chip. TES headers & edelbrock cat back. 3.73 gears, 700r4.

Best with 305-15.0@93mph
Best with 357-13.7@101mph
on a 2.050 60 ft.
(Damn the 2.8!)
New Setup:
4 bolt 357 (10.2:1), AFR 190s (fully cnc ported), LT4 Hot cam (1.6 RRs), Ported SuperRam (upper&lower), Ed Wright custom chip, 24# Accel injectors, Yank 3200 lock-up TC, 3.27 9 bolt rear, some traction! Hoping to see some 12s.

LOL I'm embarrased at all the incorrect facts in this thread. As a movie nut I could list about 20 movies that have thirdgens in them either for 5 minutes or two hours, but I'd undoubtedly list some that are already here, and forget others.
It doesn't really matter since there isn't a GOOD movie in existence that uses a thirdgen for anything.

BTW the Camaro in Better off Dead is a 67 RS/SS. SS badges, RS hideaway headlights. At one point they show an owners manual for a 69, but if you'll notice the car has vent windows, an 67 only feature.

Their is some movie with a Young Charlie Sheen, and an undercover cop that go around and steal Porshe's. Cant remember the name.

Anywayz, there is a pretty kewl chase seen in ti with a 82-85 SC. Only problem is that it get's smashed up.

That seems to happen to all the camaros in movies.
