Started with a ebay special from china, 48 LEDs per, too big to fit.So gonna lop off 2 rows, so its 40 LED.Board w/relay & 1157 base a 150ohm resistor (yellow heatshrink) on the relay.So they'll blink bright/normal w/the lights, but bright/off w/out the running lights.

Installed in housing & lit, relay will be mounted inside lamp.No hacking of the stock harness.Plug & play all the way.

Not sure if i like this look or w/ stock diffuser.

Looks good. Probably looks even better at night.

 

$13 for the LED lights, everything else was free.
Pretty bright in daylight too.Pics show driving lights, so only 6volts, not 12.

Sweeet thread man. How did you wire it all tho and where did you get the socket to plug into the original light socket?

 

Here's a schematic i made for the side markers, its the same for driving lamps.The blu & brn wires are the same blu-brn on the fr. markers.Only difference is fr marker uses 3 wires.Third being neg, which in this case goes to 86 on the relay.The socket is just from a 1157 bulb.

 

Did you also modify your side marker light as LED to work with the front marker lights?
