What have you done to make your lights brighter?

I have an 83 Z-28. The lights have always looked dim or yellowish. I have seen some aftermarket lights that claim that they are brighter but they are just the bulb inserts. Does anyone make the whole headlights for camaros?

Also, I have found a new type of wiring harness that offers less resistance for more power to the headlights. How much would this help? I would rather just replace the lights than to rewire them. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with the lights on my 87 Iroc. I got replacement halogen bulbs at kmart for about $8 each. they were white halogens by sylvana, and they made a huge diffrence. I can actually see things with my low beams on. I also tinkered with the alignment of the beams, that helped out also.

Look in the Tech Articles. There's an article posted just yesterday for just that purpose. (Sorry, I had to plug it. )

I've experience the same problem, they sell new headlights at most auto parts stores, for about 10-15 bux. On my TA I replaced both the headlights with new ones and replaced my foglights with headlights, smaller ones and wired them direct to the battery on a toggle switch. This helped me out a lot, with the extra light from where the foglights would be I can see pretty good at night and I think that wiring the extra lights direct to the battery made them brighter. Hope this helps.
