RenewProtect - Trim, Tires, Rubber, Plastic, Vinyl, Leather, etc...

http://renewprotect.com/

Website is not the most impressive, but product is amazing... (usually people have amazing websites and crappy products)...

Searching and tried TONS of products to keep Trim, Tires, Rubber, Plastic, Vinyl, Leather, etc... looking great & keep looking great for a long time....

Just about everything I tried look great for a short while, but eventually washed off... some left films that attracted more dirt and others you read later are actually bad for the material itself!

I came across this stuff online... the few reviews / videos I saw were all good... but a bit pricey...

I ordered the shop pack... 3 12oz. bottles for about $80...
They do sell a 3 pack of 8oz bottles for about $55...

It goes a long way... This August will be 2 years I've had it. I've taken care of all my cars, wife's cars, loaned it to at least 3 friends and their cars... My 12 oz bottles are not even half empty. The consistency of it is almost like water. There is a Black, which can be used on trim that color to replenish / equal out the sun faded / worn out black stuff. The other 2 bottles, Satin and Gloss, leave that finish on the product. You should use them on top of Black, but Satin and Gloss can be used on any color / cleaned stuff.

No silicone, wax, oil, etc... Besides lasting a long time, it is dry to the touch. Safe for seats, pedals, etc... Not slippery. 10 minutes between coats.

For the stuff below, I cleaned, 2 coats of black, then 2 coats of Gloss.

Here are some TPI Air Duct arts I recently bought. 1 hard plastic, the other soft rubber.

1st. Pic, as shipped to me / dirty...

2nd pic. After cleaning with Simple Green & Meguairs Multi Purpose... Better, but notice still inconsistencies in plastic.

3rd pic. A side view of duct, now you can REALLY see the inconsistencies...

4th pic. 2 coats of black.

5th pic. Side view, 2 coats black, much less inconsistencies.

6th pic. Rubber boot, 2 coats black... It already looks NOS.

7th Pic. Both pieces with 2 coats of Gloss on top of the 2 Black...

8th pic. Side view of plastic duct with 2 coats Gloss over 2 Black.

The rubber boot could pass for NOS. The duct, while still very good, does have a few inconsistencies due to minor scratches. If you look on the top / right side, you see a horizontal line & a round spot that is slightly noticeable. Certain angles in the light catch it more than others. But booth are dry, non slippery to the touch.... And will stay looking that way a long time...I have stuff I did almost 2 years ago that lives outside and still looks great...

A bit pricey, but nothing works like it or last as long....

The top of your inner doors, This will make it look new... & pretty much anything else you decide to put it on...

Interesting. The results certainly speak for themselves. Thanks for the tip.

States it prevents tires from dry rot, also protects form UV...
They do sell a Dash specific product, I assume the semi gloss works much the same...
Tires do stay nice longer than any other product I've used too...

Got a new set of Mickey Thompson Sportsman ST's for the bird and did them up...

First pic... as they arrived from Summit Racing & needing a bath... Blue stuff on white writing (to protect it) and the other tire had some brown goop on it, took some extra cleaning, but came off...

2nd pic... of a cleaned up tire... notice the top has a few dark spots... I tested this side, cuz I'm running black sidewall... At far right is just the Black... It does make a difference, though it has no shine to it, it provides a good dark base... On the left, black, with Gloss on top, Satin below... In the middle between the 2 is Gloss & Satin with no black... looks ok, but for sure not as dark and rich as the far left side...

2 final pics... a clean tire left and a done up one on right... the right one has 2 coats of black, 1 of satin and 1 of gloss... again, it's not greasy, dry to the touch, so it won't attract and hold dust.... Doesn't wash off and last longer than any other tire stuff I've used... Definitely makes them darker... More pics when they are on the car...

Here is another shot...
Left one was the previously done up... the right on, cleaned and just black...
the black has a black tint and no shine, but still has a nice dull shine... which some people prefer... the left one is shinier, but still not as wet shine as it could be....

You can mix and match it to you're liking...

Stand them up in front of the tires on the car now and see how they go with your glossy black paint.
I think the higher shine brings out the sidewall detail a bit more. Still very light though and that's a good thing.

The paint on the car is not too shiny (getting paint job soon) and worked picked up again here for the next few weeks before vacation, so not complaining about extra $$$, but projects slowing down for a bit

Re: RenewProtect - Trim, Tires, Rubber, Plastic, Vinyl, Leather, etc...

Longer than any other product I've used (and I tried a lot before this one)...
Reason is, it's not like any other product, the consistency, dry (not greasy) when done, they even say it's safe for motorcycle seats, pedals, grips, etc...

On tires, longer than anything else, but longer on trim too...
Your tires, depending on how much / where you drive, etc...
I put it on some plastic trim on my daily driver, top roof rail and lower trim, and it stayed good for a year +..... Before I applied it, it was chalky grey, then it got it black and stayed that way for a long time...

I'm just trying to spread the word on this stuff, not many know about it and it works so much better than any other product I've found...

There was a G4 (if I remember correctly, a clear liquid, that seemed to do similar results, but it was VERY expensive, and they had none with black tint.... This is a big purchase, but it goes a very long way... again, August will be 2 years, I've loaned it to 4 friends, done a lot of things my own and all bottles are still over half full...

Nice. I might try it next time. I like using 303 products for the trims and other rubber pieces. It leaves a clean look finish and not a glossy one. It has UV protection to prevent the plastics from fading.
