It seems like quite a few people on this site (myself included) own cars that aren't running or are in piece, so I just wanna see how many of you have project cars and how many of you have drivers.
Btw I'm new so I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this thread
Mine sits too much, Wish my wife had a job so I can put more $$ into my baby, Having 3 kids and one graduating this week = no $$ for my restore.. But I will never get rid of her! My wife on the other hand shes on a thin line...lol
Mine is both a project and a daily driver. Up until 2 years ago, I drove her daily in the summer and she became my project car over the winter months. That was until I thought I developed a rod knock, only to realize it was just a bent pushrod after letting it sit for a year. Hoping to get it back together and on the road in the next couple of weeks though. Then it's back to daily driving in the summer and wrenching in the winter.
Mine is a project, been at it for 3 years now, she is all up and running and drive able and with a bit of luck will be on the road this summer some time.
Right now mine is a driver (not daily though) here in the next week it will become a project as I swap in the LS1...then maybe it will be even more of a driver...
Hey everyone so I recently inherited a 1988 Camaro Iroc z28 5.7. I just had the engine block swapped out but when I got it the engine bay was in pieces. I need help identiying these harneses and what they connect to because I do not see where they go and if pieces are missing.
Engine Bay after motor swap.
I believe this is for the 02sensor since the 02 wires are cut up.
this is next to the harness of the 02 sensor
AC compressor in picture. this and other 2 wires are ran through the same harness and conects the AC compressor.
Oil Pressure Sensor (behind driver side rear of intake next to dist.)
Transmission Connector (Lock Up control, on top of passenger side of trans oil pan)
Coolant Temp Sensor (passenger front corner of lower intake)
Unknown

T-Top bar was dented bad. I wanted the car done perfect.
Epoxy primer. Down to bare metal.
This work was done in 08'
About a month after this I was in an accident that caused my baby to sit in storage till hopefully this year.
Currently, All the car needs is for the fenders to be fitted/hood/bumpers and interior and she will be back on the road. There is many small projects that I want to button up also. Its been so many years, one more wont hurt I guess. Want it to be done right.. Want to drive it though too..
Mine is a daily driver, well as daily driver as it can get with me rotating between it, a Jeep, a Tacoma, a Nissan Rogue and a motorcycle. I try to drive each one of them at least once a week or so to keep them in good shape.
Though mine is parked until the rain stops! Mine is a daily driver. A typical week will take me 300+ miles. It is currently at 135k. My previous 92 Camaro RS, I drove for just over 300K as a daily driver.
Had it for less than a year as a nice weather driver, then it was off the road for a year for the LS/T56 swap and body work and now it's back to an occasional nice day car... In about 3 years it will be getting stripped down, put on a rotisserie and made to be like new.
