appearance help.
i recently got my hands on a 1987 firebird. the paint looks dull. no shine at all. a friend of mine told me that all i needed was a compound job? what is acompound job, what can i do to make this car shine?

Possibly. It could be all the clear coat gone, and infact it would hurt the paint. But I have no idea, might want to try and take it someone where that does buffing and ask them if it would make it shine again.

Im guessing what he means is a high speed polish....But if the paint is that faded, you might want to get the paint cut (with a clay bar), wet sanded, then high speed polished
