the chrome parts are rolling in

so the first set of chrome parts are rolling in

so the gold zink parts will go to a new home...would be killer on a black car.

another week and the hood hinges heater box..and other parts should be done...

NOTE: FOUNDERS PARTS (PLATES) ARE NOT POWDER COATED
the set same to me from them in a red paint/epoxy.
on a good point it was easy to remove..
but is advertised as a powder coat finnish

Re: the chrome parts are rolling in

Did you forget to do the thin V-stamped fender support rods (down low) or did you just like them body color so much you couldn't do it?

are you asking about the one on the driver side in front of the tire?
I had it done in gold zink.. photo below..it bolts up the frame. nexed to the steering box...
hood latch support was dropped off today. the v shaped brakets on ea side of it (black) I had done with the parts I picked up today...as nobody is making a billet set.. I had to go with Chrome.but I will never have to buff them out!.(there are some fender rods 12" to 14" in long.. body color..thay are stayn..)

E Brake levers..had been just to close to the rim..so I got a 2nd set..cut them down 1/8 inch and will install..
the others look so good. I did not want to trim them..
this set(below) of E brake Levers are just to long..(ya can see they are longer then the set above)

this was made by a member on this site...I had to cut the (what they think are welds) down to buff out the mess..and then have it buffed out to a like chrome finnish..its nexed..look close ya can see the weld mess in front..the photo was Deceiving..no biggy..we made it look 1000 times better..(this is a before I got it shot) before the part was on anybody's car.. what I got was a mess...but its going to look better then this photo!

Re: the chrome parts are rolling in

a few more parts..this one had the GM bumps removed..to look better.. for some reason GM had a bump/dent in the upper face..they are on all of the GM Hood supports...not this one any more...

not going that far...leaving the 25 year old factory paint..just doing a nice street car.. for Fri/Sat night fun
after all everybody has painted parts...
if ya cant get billet parts..chrome what ya have..when I ordered the K member and A arms..I did ask for naked Steel...as I was going to plate them as well... but all they had was coated..so just left them red...

started plating all the parts in gold zink....then wanted chrome..so I did a 2nd set of parts in chrome...

Re: the chrome parts are rolling in

so this is what I picked up from this site....before reworking it..not a bad part..(they should have used rivets)...it would have looked better...but hay..it's a start...first removing most of that thing the looks like a weld...sorta of...removing by hand with a dremel tool...before repolish..new welds added on the under side...
