I don't care for it at all.. but then again, I don't see many spoilers that I like on a 3rdGen Camaro...

The only spoiler I really love, is the 91-92 Z28 and that is a factory spoiler, now that looks awesome!!

But hey, if you like it.. go for it man

Looks like crap to me but if you like it then get it, it's your car. I believe that's the Whale Tail from Motion Glass. Look in the back of a Super Chevy magazine for their ad. Hope this helps..............I think...........

Yeeeshh. Talk about adding new meaning to the term "whale tale" when referring to wings. I'm not sure I'm following what you said about "ugly but awsome." Different just to be different is like being the same just to be the same.

I don't know about that wing Fatty! It's kinda BIG and you just might take off and land in Afganistan instead of O'Hare. But as I always say if it pleases you and it's your car, do what you want.

TMF4th, you said you want to put a Roadrunner spoiler on your car. Sorry to disapoint you but the Superbird ( not the Roadrunner ) wing or the similar Charger Daytona wings are super rare ( less than 4,000 wing cars produced ), as far as I know they are not being reproduced so expect to pay a huge amount if you can even find one. Sorry .

Those are both puke ugly. And by adjustable, that just means that you'll lose another 10mph off your top speed each time you change the setting to make it more aggressive.

The one posted by Red looks similar to the '88 sport coupe wing, and looks ok, but isn't anything special in my book.

dood it looks ugly cos i didnt drill any holes in my trunk i used the holes frm the existing spoiler...

and by the way in a 1/4 mile i dont cross anything over 95

so it doesnt matter losing 10mph...

and my car top speed w/o this is over 130mph

i have 3.03 gears my friend

and my existing fac. spoiler is already at 15*

so u mean to say remove that also and ill go faster ohh even better ill also throw all unnecessary things out .... like other seats and go even faster....

my friend this was just an experiment i tried out...

and FYI the corvette C5 that they race in lemans also has a wing that looks like a *****... what do u have to say about tthat

130 mph top speed? As far as I was aware the Hypertech chip doesn't remove the factory speed limiter?

And as for the C5-GT using a wing like that, it has the hp to push it to high enough speeds where it needs that amount of downforce. Its has the full package, body and mechanical. And so it fits.

Not trying to put you down, but I think it would still look ugly even if you had a top speed of 200mph. Our cars aren't rice, even if you put a type-R sticker on them. On the other hand, modifications can go too far, especially if you don't have the rest of the package.

also i had it checked and removed by a friend here

Man, leave your car alone fattie. Puttin a little spoiler on wouldnt look to bad. But putting a huge *** one will kill it and its just a waste of money. Your not driving around your town/city at 100mph to even make a difference. Same with 89camarov6. Your car cant even go 120 prolly with the speed limiter why would you need a spoiler that is ajustable?

Uhh, no Ricers are guys/girls who tack on stickers, huge wings, massive exhaust tips, etc, they just LOOK like they go fast...

I have to give you credit for making your own spoiler, but you wouldnt catch me with that thing on my car.

its not a yellow dustcap

its painted yellow cos i had a leak in the front dustcaps ...so when i painted my brakes yellow i just sprayed over the dustcaps too to see if it was leaking ... i have yet to get centercaps

maybe blue

i should letya carry my spoiler and we both can have a running race for a quarter mile
(with our cars parked )

Black barbecue paint would work, as would most high temp exhaust paints which are even available in silver. Try your local autoparts or hardware store. Even Home Depot should have some of the BBQ stuff.

dood the idea of paintin it a lighter color is to see if oil/grease is leakin by lookin at a glance and not having to touch it ...

i think as its more functional this way ... ill very soon get centercaps

and are u sure bbq paint is good for brakes????

I'm agreeing with everyone else. To me a ***** is someone who tries to make his car something it's not or make use of something it doesn't need.

A honda does not need a spoiler.... period. They also don't need 200 NOS stickers... The cleanest setup for writing NOS on a car is in these boards. A black IROC with the front grill that says NOS. Not overboard, but it's there.... and he actually uses it unlike ricers.

The spoiler on that car is hideous... But the fact remains, it's your car. Some people feel the need to make their car hideous to get attention, some do it cause they don't know better. There are always things that push the line as to what looks right on a car, and when pushing those lines you'll notice some people like it others don't. When you go way over the line, you'll notice everyone says it looks ugly. This would be your case. However, I still stand behind the do what you want theory. You paid for the car, you paid for the wing... it's yours.

As for me, I went with something I thought would look good. I stand behind the theory you can't go wrong with a 5 spoke wheel. Chrome on black almost always looks good. The only thing I put on the line was the clear side marker lights. Personal opinion. Your welcome to dislike my car, no hard feelings here.

As for your car, don't justify the spoiler by trying to say the adjusting would help you. Your not a touring C5R. If you want different, we're here to help. Chevyken has a site just for people who want to see different ways of styling our cars.

i agree 100% with icon

he is right and im doing what i want ..... i was just sayin that i wanted to experiment with a wing .. i mean i was wonderign what makes them cost that much ... so i made one myself ... adjustable just to see how it affects the cars handeling and other parameters...

cool man

everyone has a right to criticise ...

"everyone doesnt have the same mind and ideas"

i was just showin ppl how my idea turned out ...

its good tht i got criticizm fr it as well

Assuming we are talking about the rear drums, I say sure, BBQ paint will work. I used to use it on all 4 drums of my '63 Nova. Not sure about on the discs (of course you don't want any paint on the rotor surfaces). I understood why you were using the yellow, I was just letting you know what I've used in the past for your future reference.

89, your post about the yellow paint being functional may well have been the dumbest thing I have ever read.... and I think you have made everyone here dumber by posting it.

I did pick up a new sig line though!

No yellow does not look good. Anything that constrast heavily or stands out too much. Especially the center cap does not look good. I didn't read much into the paint thing. I believe BBQ paint would work, it says 1500 degrees I believe. Just hit the drums with some flat black paint.. high temp. It'll look find. As for the centercaps, sand them down and paint the grey or silver. Closest to the original color.
