Front Fogs/Signal lights - covers?

Hey all

Im trying to replace my front signal lights (the small ones)/ I dont got fog lights cuase I have a Camaro SC.. now I want to replace the plastic with a clear lens to replace my disscoloured orange ones. Is it legal to do this? And from what I hear most Camaros came with clear ones! just not the sport coupe versions.
Oh well

yeah but you have a sport coupe w/ ground effects, as do I. you can make your own clear lenz or buy new parking lamp assemblies, it's up to you. I made clear ones.

mine looked ok before I made new lenses, but oh well.

Hey
U can replace them with repros. They are clear in color. Urs have faded into the yellowish color u see. It is like 30 for them and it give the car a very clean look. Classis industries sell them. I just put 2 new one on my iroc and wow what a difference.

Sport coupes got yellow lenses through '87, when the nose changed in '88 the sport coupe used the same clear lens as the IROC and Z/28 got starting in '85. Use some 3M Perfect-it or Meguires plastic polish to take off the oxidation and make them look better, maybe even almost new if the inside is ok. The only way to make them look like new is to buy new ones.

If the yellow/orange/amber color has faded why not re-paint them like un4givin89 did to his tail lights?

the Berlinetta also came with clear turn lenses but with a black "line" through the center

If Dave's car is the one in the photo at the top, his lenses were clear originally, not yellow.

Here are the yellow ones (pic of my Camaro the day I bought it new):

You'll notice the difference. There is a slight amount of tint to the clear ones, but that is basically what they are. They are only yellow when the bulb is on. If you put clear bulbs in yours, they will pretty much look clear when you use them.
