Re: 3rd Gens sitting / Rotting away: what have you seen?

This poor car has been sitting in the same spot with it's passenger side door ajar for at least 5 years that I know of , through snow , rain , and anything else that may fall from the skies .

It's on RT 138 in Raynham , Massachusetts , and if anyone here wants to approach the owner(s) I'll get the exact address .

It looks like a small (8 or 10 cars on the lot) car dealer/flipper who maybe wants way more than it's worth ?

A buddy just sent me these today. He found a stash of third gens in an old junk yard only 30 miles from me

Needless to say, I'm going after some parts lol

This one has been there for awhile. Might be an impound yard. Or the car is waiting its turn for the crusher. Looks like an 88. No apparent ID for the property.

And based on this TA's color, I'd guess it's an 85 or 86. Someone's property. Doesn't look like there are any immediate plans.

Do you know who owns this? I sure wouldn't mind getting in touch with them and buying it.

Would you know the name so I may be able to contact them? A hardtop 91/92 trans am is worth saving if it isn't a rust bucket and I've been looking for one

Re: 3rd Gens sitting / Rotting away: what have you seen?

Guys, found this 85 Pontiac Trans Am,had been sitting in a field since 2005. Changed the oil, drained the gas tank cleaned it out and added fresh gas. Changed spark plugs and wires. Put new fuel pump and fuel filter on the car. Had to replace all four tires and brakes. Now it runs and drives like a 85 Trans Am.Car is all original with 305 4 bbl carb with a 5 spd. Car still needs interior work. All rubber needs to be replaced. Car also had T-TOPS.

You should start your own build thread on this car in the members Firebird section. It looks like a nice find for sitting in a field and really solid.
