Get yourself ready for COTM d'Non-Elegance

Tired of never being able to participate in COTM? Feel like you have a cool car but don't fit in with the show n' shine crowd? Have a project that you're proud of? Excited about the barn find you just bought? Have a race car?

Well, then start spreading the word because your moment will come next month. We're scrapping the Car Of The Year event and replacing it with "The 13th month". Think of it as a pseudo COTM for all the people with real cars, project cars, cool cars, but definitely not show cars.

I'll give out more information later, but a couple things to know:

* This is only for cars that normally don't quality for COTM.
* No nominations will be needed. Just post up and votes will be counted with "Likes."
* We'll do something for the winner, but please don't expect to be plastered all over the front page of the site. There will be a normal December and January COTM that will continue to hold that honor.

Just trying to do something fun for EVERYBODY this year. Might be a little clunky first time around but we'll figure it out and hopefully this can be a fun holiday tradition.
Look for the thread to open up early December.

Re: Get yourself ready for COTM d'Non-Elegance

A topic suggested previously but shot down.
Personally, I've always liked the idea not only because my own heap has a cracked windshield and a newly split dash pad, but because I feel it'll reflect a broader spectrum of this generation of cars.
I'm keen to see what the entries will be.

Re: Get yourself ready for COTM d'Non-Elegance

You KNOW what's coming don't you?
This will have the biggest participation of any COTM. Bar none.
Should be interesting.

Re: Get yourself ready for COTM d'Non-Elegance

Looks like people started to post up in this thread instead of the actual thread. I moved the recent posts to the new thread and am closing this one to avoid further confusion.
