I've always felt that at least in my eyes, the 85 (and up) Irocs were the "first" of the modern muscle cars. I've also always felt that the 82-87 Z28s were the last of the great "classic" muscle cars. ...and as a long time thirdgen fan and multiple car owner, they both make me proud. Your Z, with that color combo, might just be my favorite color combo. Very nice.
Yes, good guess guys. Just last August. And also will be there this year. I'm usually the only car there this color.
Great looking T/A. If you look at the production numbers I wouldn't say it's rare, but it's definitely unusual, especially these days. I get compliments all the time about the color!
I've been casually keeping my eyes open for the "right" thirdgen to add to the stable. This one would stay stock, -no mods. ....and if I could choose, I'd say EITHER of the two beautiful examples posted here would be high on the list! Throw value, rarity, performance, options etc. etc. out the window, and just imagine opening the garage door and looking at it. ....at least in my book, it'd be hard to beat these two.
Well you KNOW after making that post I had to go look around, LOL! ....found this old auction on BAT. Sold for just over $18k last December. I'd love a manual car, but what a beauty! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...c-firebird-12/
