Re: F BODIES GALORE
Don't try to low-ball him; he knows what he's got!!!
Based on his listed prices---unless there are others here who have actually bought from this guy and found he's willing to negotiate--- IMO he may be a classic-case hoarder. If that's so, when he passes, those cars might just rot in place forever. If you've ever had to go through probate (in the US) you know what a quagmire that can be for surviving family if no legal means of transfer of property has been pre-arranged.

what's going to happen to all these cars when he dies??

Guy has f-bodies that have 3 feet of grass around them.
I bet most of those he got fkr $500 to $2,000 max.
Bet he sells about 1 or 2 a week.

Re: F BODIES GALORE
Well when the video started, this is what I was hearing in my head..
"Oooooooo I want that one! Oh I want that one too!! O man I NEED that one!!! I cant leave that one out! That one would work too! Ohhhh I really want that one!!!"
And that was just in the damn driveway!!! Then they turned into the very back lot and I almost had a short circuit!! It was like my brain couldn't process it all fast enough!!
I want to save them all!!!
I think I'm better off as far away from that place as possible...

Re: F BODIES GALORE
Once nice project cars, being reclaimed by the elements!
Most of them would be a LOT of work, just to pull out of the yard, to sell! Many would need to have several cars fork-lifted (good luck without damage) out of the way, to sell a car! Mostly a yard of once great "projects" being reclaimed by the elements! I'd want tall leather boots, heavy gloves and a handgun loaded with mini "Shotgun" rounds, just to go through the yard!

Imagine the wealth of data and knowledge in some of those relics. Originality galore in many of those vehicles. Just as a reference guide, that information is priceless.

I'm surprised that so far no one here has posted that they've done business with this guy. With that vast collection of cars, I'd think that someone would have at least bought---or attempted to buy---parts, if nothing else.

Anyone ordered anything from this place?
Also, how does something like this end up in Canada? You think all these cars were found up there or bought and imported?

Re: F BODIES GALORE
years ago I emailed him asking for parts for my Trans Am - i think for saddle tan / doeskin seatbelts maybe, I can't remember. anyway, the price he quoted for what I was asking was insanely high. I actually did still consider buying from him, but I asked for pictures first to see what I was purchasing. he refused to send me any pictures so I didn't place the order. I wasn't willing to risk paying more than top dollar to potentially receive parts that might not be in any better condition than what I already had.

After reading the replies ITT along with those posted here: David T's Auto Centre - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards I won't be sending this guy any of my $$$. There's something not at all right about that company.

They are VERY difficult to find (seats only) that are "like new" if they are indeed in that condition AND if someone else is selling a like new set, they will most likely want the same $$$

Well, here is the thing......IMO.....where else are you going to find a set of like new GTA seats?

I think like new seats for a GTA are definitely worth a premium, but not THAT premium. You can buy a pair of reproductions from classic industries (front only) for a little under $600. NEW seats.
Re: F BODIES GALORE
There is "I'm charging a premium because I know these are worth it" and then there is "I'm charging more than anyone is willing to pay"

IMO, $4000 for a complete set of OEM GTA seats in like new condition is what I expect we are talking about.

Re: F BODIES GALORE
I looked again and it was just the upholstery, but even still there are "good" quality seats going for $500-$600 bucks so even if you combined the two and paid a shop to reupholster you'd still be out MAYBE $2,500 when it is all said and done.
Re: F BODIES GALORE
Agree, but I think even good GTA seats will cost you more than $600 - also, some guys shop for them because they want to put GTA seats in their T/A or Formula so they need the entire seat

Re: F BODIES GALORE
I'll tell ya fellas, it's such a wasted opportunity with that **** running it. Here's a link to his cars for sale, just as an example of how obnoxious his pricing is. There's a green GTA in that mix that he first posted around 8 years ago, and almost every other car was there at the same time. Pics were never refreshed, just reposted. All of those cars that were bad deals to begin with, have now been left out to pasture for almost a decade. THIS is the most frustrating business within our community, because it's just such an extreme waste. The dude sells almost no parts, and I've never heard of anyone buying a car from him, yet he has that many.

Also, I've now bought numerous sets of GTA seats. The nice thing about most of Canada is that our cars rust horrifically, so parts third gens aren't super tough to find, often with nice mileage and clean interiors. A set of black leather GTA seats just sold for $1000, and they had barely ever been sat in. Car was crashed within a few months from birth, and the seats were taken out before it got crushed. $4K for his, which I can almost promise are just in fair condition, is nuts.

This is the guy you call when you've exhausted every resource on the planet and have looked for at least 2 years and can't find something. So far, I've never had to call them. 20 years from now? Maybe.
