That's awesome! -especially that ya'll are friends, and kept the same interest in cars!!!! ....ya know, I remember the dark days of never seeing a thirdgen, and when ya did it was a pile of crap barely road legal, and not driven by someone who actually cares. While it's still not everyday, I do see nice examples a lot more than say, 15 years ago. -and it's nice knowing that they're most likely driven by someone who at least cares about the car, if not an actual thirdgen nut like us!

That is really cool! Hope you guys keep in touch and attend more shows together. It's a rare site here in SoFlo also to see more than one third gen at a show, hell usually there are none. Even on the road I haven't seen one in ages, unless it's my best friend of 57 years black 92' Z28. We have known each other since about the age of 2 and went to high school together. Just last year we had our 40 year reunion and we both drove our cars, It was the hit of the reunion!

Re: Rare sight down south

I recently sold my '88 GTA. In the entire 7+ years that I owned it, I saw exactly two third gen Firebirds. I live in South Carolina. Those two were both owned by my mechanic and were always parked at his garage. I never even saw one at a car show.

I also only saw a couple of third gen Carmaros over the years here.

Cool to see those Third Gens lined up, especially with the backstory of you guys from high school still rocking them. That red one looks sharp any mods worth sharing?

Thats really awesome. Ive only had mine a few weeks, and the community is pretty awesome so far. Always cool to see the different way people like to make these older cars their own.
