Poll: Spoiler or no spoiler?

I got a new hatch for my car and took the broken spoiler off.
I was looking at the car and it looks pretty good without the spoiler on it. What do you all think?

Roll Back???

Zepher, why is it going on a roll back?
I think that Trans Am's need the spoiler. Your car would look good with the 4th gen spoiler.

Just get a notchback and leave the spoiler off. That would look sweet.

That looks sweet man. Something different, or rather, somthing I haven't seen all to often, would definetly catch my eye on the road. Hehe, don't you remember? In one of your posts alot of us told you it looked sweet...... even without the glass there which is what Blue is hinting at. Anyway, she looks sweet that way, adds some flavor.

I don't like Camaros without spoilers, but I really like Birds without them. I think you should leave it off, I think it looks great without it.

I think it would look good with or without a spoiler. If you do go with a spoiler I would suggest an 85-90 Aero spoiler, its the best looking one IMO. Im not really feelin the exhaust tips, though... :P

Thanks guys,
I am going to leave it without a spoiler for now, since I can't afford one at the moment, and I am selling my 4th gen wing to a friend of mine, don't really care for that look any more.

The wheels are 1997 WS6 Trans Am Wheels.

17x9 with 275/40/17 Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712's.
I got a deal on them, $225 for the set (friend was selling to high bidder and I won) and $488 for the tires(friend at the Jaguar Dealer ordered them for me, same price as Tirerack shipped, but didn't need a credit card).
Another friend works at Firestone and mounted/balanced them for me for free.

The car was towed to the Muffler Center to have the y-pipe made and the rest of the exhaust put on, didn't want to drive it 15 miles with open headers and get a ticket.

Oh come on. I drove mine 40 miles to a competent exhaust shop. It's not that loud The first guys I talked to couldn't tell their a$$es from their elbows so that ruled the local shop out.

I love the sleek, simple appearance of no spoiler. I wouldn't be surprised if my IROC becomes a Cal-Roc look-alike next time I do it over.

BTW, is that aluminum paint on the y-pipe & cat or did you get them all coated? It looks great!

Hey Zeph. I think it looks ok without a spoiler but it looks more aggressive with one IMO. Did you find out why your car wouldn't start?

Car is going to be painted Silver.

The cat and y-pipe were painted with hi temp silver paint at the shop.

The police are very strict about loud exhaust here in VA.
I'd have gotten a ticket right away.

No your car doesn't look like a Vette, but it is one damn cool car . I don't know if you are planning this, but adding flush doorhandles plus leaving the spoiler off would look very cool. BTW, what color silver are you painting it?

Looks damn good without the spoiler. Atleast from the side. The rear shot it looks a little funny, but it really looks good from the side.

Thanks Guys,

I am going to paint it Platinum Silver, like FlyinLow89's,

I do also want to add the flush door handles, I hate the way the handles look now, hanging off of the door.

I love it without the spoiler.

It does NOT look like a Vette, but it has a fastbackish look to it with no wing back there. Mines off right now too, i was thinking the same thing, although all the holes and glue are still back there...

Leave it off.. you can always add it later..

At the right angle, it does look similar to a late 80's vette

The springs made the car ride a little rougher but it handles really good.
Going fast around a corner is really fun, the car does not sway at all, stays nice and flat and hugs the road.

I generally dont like all the 4th gen stuff people put on ther cars but in your case, i think a 4th gen spoiler is all you. If not then I would leave it off. Nice car!

If you do decide to use, be careful and don't break your new hatch, again!

This is not suppose to be a "flame", just hate to see other thirdgen's in bad shape.

looks sweet as hell without the wing. Firebirds definately look better without them, not too fond of Camaros without, but thats just me. like someone else said, go without for a while. then later, if you decide you want a wing, put one on, its not that big of a deal. its your car man, you decide what to do with it. if some people complain because "birds are supposed to have wings" screw 'em, its not their car. have fun with it, do what you think looks good.
