New hood or mold on scoop?

What would you guys recomend, that I mold on the SC-104 scoop from www.up22.com, or buy a new hood? Is it worth the cost difference to mold on the scoop? Give me all the info you have, anything related to this. Thanks

Around here the scoop price plus the price of molding it onto the original hood would cost less than an actual hood itself, but then you would have to repaint the hood. Just think though, you would be adding "more" weight to your car if you choose the molded option. IMO the way to go would be to go with a new hood, it would be much lighter and I believe you would be happier with the hood in the long run.

I was refering to a stock hood/molded on scoop VS. fiberglass hood. Which the fiberglass one will be much lighter.

And for the record, yours is not molded

i molded a 4" cowl onto a $10 junkyard hood. Cowl was $100. Compare that to $500 for a fiberglass hood CDN funds. either way your gonna have to paint it. Sorry the link in my sig is down at the moment. Has a good pic of the hood
