Buying a 1982-89 Z-28

I'm looking to buy an 82-89 Z-28. Last time I owned one was in the 1980s. I was just curious how much one would cost that is in great shape and has less than 100k on the O.D. Any input would be appreciated.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong there were no 88-89 Z28s only IROCs. Do you want one with t-tops, 350? I paid $1700 for mine is pretty much the condition you see it now appearance wise, oh and the driver's side fender is dented, thought it had 76k miles turned out more like 176k miles. It didn't have OD at the time. I didn't research at all and ended up with the worst motor there was the LG4. You're already a step ahead by asking questions. Don't rush into anything and be picky. In '87 they started making the internals of the 700R4 (tranny) a bit stronger than previous years. Good luck. Remember you get what you pay for.
